Happy 5th Birthday Bradley!!!

this was tonight... I will have to post his party/day tomorrow, I'm exhausted!! But we had a good time.... I think all of Bradley's planning paid off :)

(I really hate how blogger won't let me schedule posts anymore :) this one is not quite "late", but I had wanted it up all day :))
I really can't believe that it's Bradley's birthday again already!! Feels like just yesterday! Here's my usual trip down memory lane.....

Right after his birth.

First birthday- he hated the frosting on his cake :) too much food coloring obviously.

2nd birthday- his favorite present, smoked Salmon!

3rd Birthday, that cake was so fun to make!

4th Birthday... ahh the lightening bolt cake :) he's so creative!

I just love this kid!!! Bradley is a very special part of our family. He's really like a big teddy bear for the most part. We love Bradley's fun-loving personality, and the dimpley smile that he brings to the picture. He is so helpful, so loving, so gentle, so strong :), forgiving, giggley, and sweet. I don't know what I would do without my Brad!! Happy Birthday Bud!!

Hey I almost forgot!

9 years ago today was the day Nate and I met!! We met at his mission reunion. About 2 weeks after he came home from Sweden, he was at a mission reunion. I had gone with my brother to the same one and since they had been companions on the mission, Brent introduced us! It's funny because we only said a few words to each other :) But it was a start. I love the "pointless" little anniversaries :) Happy Day-that-we-met Anniversary, Babe!! I love you!!

Noah's words

I feel like documenting Noah's words today. He's a man of very few words so far, but today the boys were so talkative in the car, and he's been saying prayers at mealtimes (with help of course) so I thought it was time to share his vocab (in no particular order).
"No" (and usually "no no no no no no" really high pitched)
"Bwee" = Please- which he says VERY liberally.... he knows it works! (while rubbing his belly)
"Shoop"=thank you
"chew"= yes
"eeet" = treat
"eeese" = cheese
"ink" = drink
"night!" = Good night, he LOVES to say this when we tuck him in :) so cute.
"Hi!" which today he kept saying to everyone we came across in the store... very adorable.
"buh" = Up
"ba- ba" = Grandpa
"Ba-ba" = Grandma
"Deese" = Steve
"Baww" = Ball
"Ah-Ee" = Charlie
"Ee Oh" = This is what he calls his satin
"PHOOONE" = phone... he loves phones
"oh" = this is for cracker or cereal, whatever he sees first in the pantry
"Foh" = fork
"boo" = spoon
"sink" = sink (and can I just brag about this kid.... he totally puts his plate, well tries the best that he can, in the sink when he is done eating.... is that not amazing!)

"eye" = eyes
"nose" = nose
"eeee" = ear
"bum" = bumb (or belly button)

"SIDE" = outside (loves going outside too)

"Nana" = Nana (he still says this on a regular basis... makes me wonder if he can really see or feel her near)

Amen= "ME!" (he usually shouts this part kind of loud whether he is saying the prayer or not. And he thinks that folding your arms involves putting your hands over your mouth and resting on the table)

Still lots to learn, but it's nice that we can communicate with him somewhat. He's a sweetheart and rarely gets too discouraged to just talk. He doesn't like to try new words a whole lot.... very independent.

One good thing about not being able to sleep

Last night I could hear Bradley kind of mumbling in his sleep and then all of a sudden I heard, "Go Kelly Go! Go Kelly Go!" Really enthusiastically... it was hilarious!! Made me laugh even (and that's not easy at 3:00ish in the morning! I would have totally missed it though, had I not been having trouble sleeping :) Funny little boy.

Friday's Fabulous Five

1. I figured out what kind of stitch Nana was using on the blanket for my baby girl. I'm so excited!!! It's fairly easy too, so it will be just slightly looser, since it's probably not the same size hook, but it will look almost the same I think. I'm happy about it :) Hopefully I can get it done in time for her blessing :)



2. Monday I had my OB/GYN visit. I had had some concerns, so they actually did an unexpected ultrasound, and Charity was with me, so it was pretty fun. Dr. Thackeray was so nice to humor Charity and all her questions and requests of things to see :) He even gave her a copy of some of the pictures of our baby girl's face. And yes, she still looks like a girl! It was just a fun little time for me and two of my little girls. Too bad Kelly missed it.



3. Monday night we all went to see the Joseph Smith movie at the JSMB. I LOVED it!!! The kids thought it was a little scary, but overall enjoyed it too. Bradley had lots of questions, and even Luke asked me why they were sad a few times. Charity was into it, but at the end asked, "Why didn't Joseph Smith just bless his kids and make them better instead of letting them die?" Good question. It was interesting to explain to my 7-year old that that was not what the Lord wanted. And how the Priesthood works. I enjoy those questions though, and I'm so glad that she will ask. She's got lots of thought provoking questions in her. I did love the chance to be reminded of all that the early Saints, especially Joseph and Emma, went through. I really have to say though that I have a hard time with how Emma is portrayed in almost every movie I have ever seen. Not that I have any deep knowledge, or authority to say so, but I feel like they always make her too skeptical and with too little faith. I cannot imagine going through what she did. I just about died during the part when they are burying their first born. My heart just ached for them. That would be awful. I hope I never know what it feels like to bury a child. Anyway, it was a fun FHE. Noah and Luke could have been a little less wrestless, but seriously, what could we expect :)

4. I got to hold Stephanie and Chris's new baby girl. She's adorable! Makes me totally baby hungry (which is a good thing), but we only have like 6 more weeks, so it's all good.

5. On Wednesday, Nate brought home M&Ms from the store. Need I say more.
