Week of 4-7-19

COME FOLLOW ME
They gave us one lesson for two weeks which has kind of thrown me off- I need more material!  Ideas are not flowing lately.  4-7-19

KELLY CLEARED
Well, we had the scientific process- aka: Kelly standing with one foot in front of the other arms out- to determine whether she was ready to go back to Lacrosse or not.  She got the "go ahead, but ease into it" recommendation, which I'm pretty sure fell on deaf ears.  But she was happier than a clam after this appointment.  So was I if we're being completely honest!  It was hard to not watch her play!  We're looking forward to Friday's game.  Hopefully she can work up to it.... HAHAHAHA!  That was me being sarcastic- as if she would not!  4-8-19

JACK BASEBALL
Jack started Baseball this week!  First practice on Monday.  I think he liked it!  Nate stayed and helped and sounded like everyone was having a blast :).  Can't wait to watch him play!  4-8-19

FHE
This week was Charity's lesson.  She taught about keeping our focus and not turning back after picking up the plow.  Very cool little object lesson in the backyard with rope- they had to keep their eyes focused on the rope, not get distracted by Nate with m&ms.  They really liked this.  I was proud of Charity for coming up with it!  Fun stuff.  We played frisbee out in the front for Kelly's activity and while we were out there Jack got his bike out and determined to learn to ride it!  I helped him for a few minutes and then two seconds into Nate helping him- he was off!!  So proud of him!!  Then we had Brad's fruit salad for the treat!  Very creative!  I'll post Erika's notes- she actually did her scribe job! 4-8-19

 PASSOVER
I had had THE WORST DAY on Tuesday, filled with discomfort and some other very frustrating happenings, so I was NOT FEELING the whole RS activity that night.  But this is what satan does.  He tries to get me to not go.  I didn't give in!!  I went to the dinner- which was really neat.  I felt really good about being there and learned some new things.  I am so grateful for my Savior for all that He went through for me.  I wish I could really comprehend it all.  Maybe someday?  But it was great to be immersed in that Spirit.  4-9-19

CRAZINESS
Oh what a crazy day Wednesday ended up being!  I had arranged with Cathie Nybo to have her take my Elementary kids to school because the doctor's office had tacked on an extra ultrasound to my appointment that was already an early one at 9:20.  I risked it and went against what I believe and left my kids here for 10 minutes alone and then for Cathie to take them.  Well, annoyingly, after our ultrasound, as we were sitting in the waiting room, we got emails from the school saying that Noah, Erika and Jack had just checked in.  AT 9:45!!!  An hour late!  I was really confused, so I called the school to make sure they hadn't messed up- which would have been a major stretch since all three of them got one.  Well, of course they hadn't.  The kids had just been in there.  So I had Noah call me so I could find out what happened.  What an ANNOYING EXPERIENCE for them!!!  Cathie had not come and by 9:00 they decided to walk over to Cathie's to see if they could still get a ride.  She of course wasn't there, so they walked all the way back- this is in the pouring rain mind you- which is why I didn't just have them walk or take their bikes in the first place!!- they walked all the way back to our street, to ask Emily for a ride!  Luckily Jonah finally let them in after quite a few times of shutting the door on them :).  And luckily, Emily had not jumped in the shower yet.  Thankfully, she was kind enough to take them to school!  I couldn't believe this had all happened!!  The ONE TIME I LEAVE THEM LIKE THIS!!!  It was frustrating to say the least.  And I don't think Cathie even knows it happened.  She hasn't said a word about it.  So weird.  But anyway.  The other annoying thing that day- they forgot about my appointment, so we sat in the waiting room an extra 45 minutes longer than we should have.  So yeah.  ugh.  4-10-19

ULTRASOUND
We got to see our little girls again!  Under less-desirable conditions of course.  We were checking to see where the placenta was.  (Part of me still thinks they made that up so that they could do another ultrasound without charging us so that they could fix the DVD problem they caused last time! But that's just me.)  We (well, it was just me.  Things were rocky with my mom and me so I didn't take Molly to her to watch- we just brought her, but since kids aren't allowed in the ultrasound, Nate had to stay out this time.  kind of sad.  I wish I'd handled things differently.) had a really nice lady for the ultrasound who made it a really positive, fun experience.  She kept getting really excited about everything.  We first checked the placenta which had surprisingly stayed a centimeter away from the cervix, so that was good news- although, I don't feel like anything had changed- but good news.  Then she went on to look at her cute face- beautiful lips! We saw her with her mouth open and closing.  Then we saw the rest of her- everything looked REALLY GOOD!  Her "textbook four chambered heart" was cool to watch!  As well as her "amazingly visible aorta that you could even see the bla bla bla division at the end!" It was great to hear that there were so many wonderful things fully developed and working properly!  She's healthy!  We got to check between her legs again and got a great shot of the three little lines.  She's still a girl :).  The video is a lot of fun to show everyone- not sure if they enjoy it as much as I do, but we all enjoy talking about our new little family member!  Everyone is dying of anticipation!  So it's nice to have been able to see her at this stage!  The appointment afterwards went well.  This is my last monthly one, we will switch to two week ones after that.  I have to do the glucose test next time... ugh.  But it does feel like we're getting closer!  Thank goodness :).  4-10-19

DAVIS GIRLS LACROSSE PARENT BOARD
We had a really long, boring meeting where I volunteered to do too much, but hopefully everything pans out!  Lots of big things coming up with Senior Night and the banquet.  I'm hopeful that it will go well :).  4-10-19

PAINTING THE BOYS' ROOM
Brad and Luke's room has been a work in progress for at least the last year, maybe more.  Nate fixed the leak in the pipe from the kitchen and eventually put up the new sheet rock, but it's been sitting in that condition for a very long time.  So this was a much needed decision we had recently to get going on their room.  We are trying to make it a comfortable place for all four boys to share together while the new baby takes over the little boys' room.  It's a huge room, so I don't feel bad putting the four of them in there, but it is definitely in need of some TLC.  So Nate went out and bought a nice light green and we got painting!  It was much harder with the boys' stuff everywhere, not really ideal conditions, but we have to do these things when Nate has time to do them.  We got the whole room painted in two afternoons!  We just need to do the trim now!  It's definitely coming along. Slowly, but surely.  We need to do the lights, the closet, carpet, doorknob, finish the toyroom and put on a door, and then we'll be ready :).  We'll see if we can do this in a timely fashion :).  4-11-19

KELLY'S AWESOME GAME BACK
It was so refreshing going to a lacrosse game again!  Such a fun game too!  We totally killed Roy.  Kelly had at least five assists during this game!  I was so impressed and so happy with her playing!  She is so awesome!  Such a self-less player!  I could have done without the rain and hail, but hey, it's lacrosse!  What do we expect!  Can't wait for the rest of the season!  4-12-19

WARD SERVICE
The boys and Nate all got to participate in some service through the ward, cutting down trees and other yard stuff.  Unfortunately, they chose a day when it was pouring rain!  I was proud of them for going though.  It ended up being a good experience for all of them I think.  I'm glad they prioritize service.  4-13-19

ERIKA'S FIRST SOCCER GAME OF THE SEASON
Erika is back at it!  She is so amazing!  We love watching her play!  She even scored a goal right while the Maughans were there watching :).  Pretty sure that one was for Kate :).  I loved their big hug at the end and how proud Kate was of her!  Made me happy for Erika.  She really loves her sports and is so good at them!  It's fun to be a part of it all with her.  Here's to the Spring season!  4-13-19

Week of 3-31-19

UTAH AREA PLAN

We learned about the Utah Area Plan today in our special RS meeting today with the Stake President.  And actually, he talked more about other things that I really loved and wrote about in my journal, but part of it was on this goal setting thing.  So when we finished study time Sunday afternoon, we decided to brain storm and came up with some goals.  So for the first category, we decided we would start doing "Dinner-time Props" to help our family members feel more love and more appreciated.  So far this has been really cool- thanks, Kelly, for the cool idea!  For the second category we decided we are going to invite a family over for FHE once a month!  Might be a little over-zealous of a goal, but we're going to try.  Starting with Pam Hooker hopefully.  For the third one we decided to pick a family each month (particularly in the family, but in the neighborhood too) to serve and show love to.  We are starting with the Websters this month.  We've got a few fun ideas for a care package to send to them.  Then the last one we decided to have a monthly temple day.  I would really love to work up to getting our own names and stuff, but nobody seemed ready for that... we will see how this all goes!  I'm really excited to be anxiously engaged in some new things that will strengthen our family and our faith and such.  Everyone seemed really excited about it all too.  3-31-19

APRIL FOOLS AND FIRST DAY OF SPRING BREAK

So everyone has been so fun today!  The boys ran around doing funny little pranks.  I LOVED watching Jack get into this.  He was so funny watching Noah and Luke toilet paper the girls' rooms.  He was feeling the adrenaline and kept telling me how nervous he was and would run down to get away from the nervousness.  It was hilarious!  The girls were mostly good sports.  Brad wrapped up all of the girls' make up in toilet paper also.  Noah did all the traditional kitchen ones and Jack thought to switch the salt for sugar which ended up being pretty funny after I made Erika and Brad's eggs :).  Funny kids.  I'm glad they were having fun with it- I have been a slacker- but they made it cool.  

I had to pick up groceries today and bribed the kids with Keva Juice if they came with me :).  I met a "cousin" at Walmart, an old guy with the last name Hatch who also comes through the Ira Stearns Hatch line :).  Kinda funny.  And I got some of the new stretch cotton garments!  Yay!  Then we came home, unloaded the groceries, packed some sack lunches, and headed out to the baseball park with the Desmonds and Maughans (they joined us later!).  It was a very fun afternoon!  I loved it.  WE had family night to look forward to, so I was okay with everyone just running around with friends, playing the wii, phone time, and naps :).  It was a nice relaxing afternoon of laundry and marco polo :).

LAST TIME OF THERAPY
Kelly had her last physical therapy appointment.  They basically told us they don't want us to come in anymore :).  Kind of funny.  But she was symptom-less the whole time she was there, so I can see why.  Kinda nice!  Time to get cleared from Sports Medicine and go back to playing!  4-2-19

WONDERPARK
Kelly and I watched the storm clouds rolling in during her therapy appointment and decided it was the perfect day for a movie.  Everyone voted and settled on Wonder Park.  I was wishing they'd chose Dumbo, but it was nice that everyone was in agreement.  We loaded everyone up, picked up Bridger, Clint and Owen and hurried off to Winco for treats!  Then it was back down to Bountiful for the movie.  We got there with enough time for everyone to play on the arcade games.  Molly particularly loved the driving game.  That is what she remembers from this trip to the movies :).  We got a pretty funny video of her crazy driving.  Kelly and I caught a preview of Dumbo while we were waiting- looks cute- we'll have to see that next.  Wonder Park was pretty cute.  The kids seemed okay with it.  It wasn't anyone's favorite movie of course, but kept most of them entertained, including Molly who did REALLY WELL!  I can't believe we're finally to the point where we can enjoy taking her to the movies!  It's been a while.  She did sit on my lap for the last 15ish minutes.  She had really gotten into it and knew everyone's names and stuff- kinda cute.  I was wishing Jack had laughed at more of this movie.  Slightly disappointing.  Overall, a fun afternoon activity.  4-2-19

Molly was hilarious on this game.  Not sure I'm ready for her to start driving!

TEMPLE TUESDAY NIGHT FOR THE BIG KIDS- CRAFT NIGHT FOR THE LITTLES
Nate and the older four went to the temple for mutual Tuesday night.  The rest of us went to Bennion Craft and found some fun painting projects to keep us busy.  Noah got a clipboard and a little box.  Erika got an E.  Jack got a J.  Molly got an M and a little bird house.  Turned out to be a lot of fun for all of us.  4-2-19

 STITCHES FOR MOLLY
After our painting project, we turned on a movie and as soon as Kelly walked in, Molly, who had been all cuddled up with me on the couch, jumped up and ran up the stairs in excitement to show Kelly what she had painted.  Unfortunately, she missed a step and fell right on her chin on the top step.  She was crying and we were all trying to console her, not realizing how serious it was and then the blood started to flow!  I caught a glimpse of her chin and KNEW it was going to be an instacare night with stitches.  I feel like Heavenly Father blessed me with the ability to pull myself out of the almost sleep I was in and jump into action.  Kelly kindly offered to come along.  So she, Molly and I drove off to the new Instacare (I've decided that the reason these things are happening at night is because I found the new Instacare... wish I'd kept my eyes closed!).  They were really awesome again, at the front desk, but I feel like everyone else in that place is subpar.  Molly got three stickers, three suckers, and then at the end three stitches!  It was a long wait, a lot of crying, lots of watching Spirit Riding Free, and a lot of convincing Molly that she could be brave enough and get an ice cream cone at the end.  She did pretty good with MOST of it all.  She didn't love the litocane gel part, and was giggling during the rinsing it off part :).  So we got a little bit of everything for her.  They had to hold her head still for the stitches and I held her hands and talked to her.  She was actually really good for this.  The second stitch hurt a little and she cried, but for the most part... That was when Kelly brought up the ice cream cone again.  It was 11:30 at night!  But we couldn't not!  We stopped at McD's and ended up waiting in their drive thru for THIRTY MINUTES!!!  For two cones and a small fry!!!  It was RIDICULOUS!!!  Molly almost fell asleep.  So we got home around midnight and put everyone to bed.  Long night, but nice that everything was taken care of thanks to Charity and Brad here at home.  Molly was a brave little chick.  I'm glad she is okay.  Fun Spring Break stuff.  4-2-19

WEDNESDAY WAS BUDDY DATES DAY
I had this idea back when I was going to make Spring Break Family Week, but then kept it anyway when things changed.  The kids seemed to really love it!  I've had several of them ask if we can do it again sometime.  Charity and Jack struggled to choose an activity, but since Jack likes to ride his scooter and Charity likes to walk Buddy, they agreed on a walk to the Ponds and around the neighborhood.  It was so cold they ended up going and getting some hot chocolate after as well.  We dropped Luke and Noah and Brad and Erika off at Boondocks for their dates.  They all had a good time.  I think they did some laser tag and bowling and then checked out the stack of cards I sent them with and found lots of extra tickets and money to play with.  They all seemed to have a good time.  Kelly and Molly changed plans from Hobby Lobby to PetSmart at the last minute and we dropped them off there.  Nate and I took advantage of the time alone and went over to the World Market which we've both never been in yet.  Fun store.  We got a cute pic of Kelly and Molly at Harmons having Gelato.  I was so happy that everyone took advantage of this opportunity and made the most of it.  Fun stuff.  4-3-19

THURSDAY WAS MUSEUM OF CURIOSITY
We had a fun plan for Thursday!  We drove down to Thanksgiving Point and had some lunch at J. Dawgs (great place for our family to eat!  Even Nate got something!).  Then headed over to the Museum of Curiosity.  I was really excited about this since we've spent the last five years (funny, we thought it had only been a few) saying we would go back there some day.  Well, the nagging paid off and we went.  Only problem was that most of the kids had pretty much outgrown the place :).  We still played there for almost four hours and had a great time, I was just really surprised at how much stuff was more for the littles.  Everyone picked a buddy.  Charity and Molly ran around together, I loved watching Charity squeeze herself through the jungle gym, all in the name of having fun with her little sister.  She was a good sport the whole time, even braving the "Darkneth" a few times for Molly.  Molly seemed to love the place!  It was right at her level really.  She found a lot to do and enjoyed most of it.  The water room was a lot of fun for those two- minus Charity getting drenched unexpectedly.  Brad and Jack were buddies the whole time and it was fun to see them going around together.  Especially on the rope bridges above us.  They were so cute.  Brad was so nice to slow the crowd down for Jack to have the bridge all to himself.  He was nervous at first, but got really brave by the end.  These two are fun friends.  Luke and Noah were buddies again and I really did not get to see much of them the entire time we were there.  Not til the end when they joined us at the foam blocks.  They were a little disappointed with how grown up they were for everything, but didn't seem to stop them from keeping themselves entertained for hours!  They've been good friends lately too.  Erika and Kelly were buddies.  They went around through Kidopolis and had some fun in there, making their own cartoon and stuff.  I wish I'd been able to watch them more- they were kind of too cool for most of it, but had fun.  They caught up with us in the Jungle room and Erika was able to be a little girl for part of it too :).  I think the crowning moment there was Nate in the block pit with all the kids- trying to distract the two little obnoxious boys who were knocking everyone's towers over.  I got a cool slow-mo video of their giant wall and everyone knocking it over.  That was pretty fun!  Nate gets the gold sticker for being the funnest parent there :).  It was a long drive home, everyone was pretty wiped out.  But we stopped at Costco so everyone could pick out treats for conference.  It was a nice evening with everyone.  4-4-19

FRIDAY WAS ENTERTAIN YOURSELF DAY
I guess I should have given everyone the heads up on my plan for Friday, but I didn't really have one.  It ended up being an entertain yourself day.  Not anyone's favorite for some reason!  They were probably getting too used to me coming up with all the fun.  They played with their friends a little.  It was cold and wet which didn't help, but it was a nice day.  I think we had a movie night as well.  4-5-19

CONFERENCE
I LOVED conference this year!  It was so awesome!  Everyone stayed focused and took notes or colored through all four sessions!  It made it so nice!  I loved the talks and felt so many new things while I was watching.  I need to remember it all and use it!  We went up to Ruth's for the Priesthood Session.  Ran and got some Costa Vida after taking a picture and saying goodbye to the men.  Then sat around and visited for the rest of the time.  It was a nice relaxing evening.  I liked it.  We brought Jen's book shelf home with us- this will help us a ton in our DIY closet venture for the boys' room.  4-6-19

Week of 3-24-19

WARD CONFERENCE

Our theme was Alma 5.  I loved Ward conference!  President Taylor is the best.  Primary was a little boring.  I don't feel like they left enough time for music.  But that's just my opinion.  3-24-19

JACK'S LEMON BARS
Jack and I had rescheduled our Lemon Bar date for a whole day, so the anticipation had totally built up by the time we got to do it Sunday evening!  He was so happy :).  Turns out he's pretty good at squeezing lemons!  He even let Molly in on things and we all had a great time making them!  Jack has been way into cooking and cutting up veggies lately- it's been really cute for him to have this thing.  3-24-19

OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN
We finished our Saints book last week and there isn't a Volume 2 yet, so I looked through the shelf this Sunday and found my grandparents' copy of Other Side of Heaven.  So we started reading that together.  Turns out everyone loves it!  They were begging me for "one more chapter" every time we finished one.  Lots of fun!  It'll be fun to watch the movie when we're done too- love that movie :).  3-24-19

MOVEMENT AT MUSIC MAKERS
We were in charge of movement time at Music Makers this month and I was not overly impressed with my choice of stuff.  I'm super glad it's over.  Next time I need to have more variety.  Molly loved the kites, rainbows, and bear hunt though, and had a great time, so I guess it was fine.  3-25-19

KELLY SPORTS MEDICINE
We finally got in to see Sports Medicine- apparently when they say, "they will contact you" they mean, call us in a few days and we will give you the number to schedule it yourself.  This appointment left me in a little bit of a funk.  I wanted a more certain diagnosis.  Not just a "yeah, sure seems like a concussion".  And another, "They'll contact you... if you don't hear from them in two weeks, call us and we'll give you their number, even though I just told you we don't have their number- our bad."  Just kidding, that's not what she said.  But that is what she meant.  Seriously, why have a follow up in two weeks if you haven't even been in for a single therapy visit because it took them more than two weeks to contact you??  Just give me the freaking number and I will call them myself!  UGH.  Not overly impressed with this place.  But it is super close and convenient, so I keep giving them another chance.  I'm praying for a miraculous recovery by Kelly.  Vestibular Therapy, here we come.  3-25-19

FHE- Feeding 5,000
Brad gave an awesome lesson about the loaves and fishes.  It was cool that he had salmon and bread to pass around while we read the scriptures and discussed the story.  He did a great job!  We played basketball (gimp squad- me, kelly (don't tell her I called her that), eventually Charity and Erika- injured during play-- cheered!) in the backyard.  First time as a whole family on our new court!  Then Noah and Nate went and got Dippin dots for his treat for everyone!  Yum!  And of course we watched the Jazz kill the Suns afterwards.  3-25-19

CLOSET ORGANIZING

On the way home from reading with Erika's class, I convinced Molly that she wanted to help me "organize my closet".  I chose the word organizing at the last minute and it WORKED!  She and I worked our bums off for two hours!  Went through all of my fabric that I've been hanging on to for the past... too long!  I moved it from three large totes to just the two drawers in my sewing desk and one small box.  Freed up a LOT of space in our closet!  Made me happy!  Although, now my back is killing me.  Not sure how to fix that.  But feels good to get something done.  Besides laundry and dishes of course.  3-26-19

NOAH RELIGIOUS DUTY TO GOD AWARD

Noah was awarded his Duty to God award this week!  So proud of him!  And we know he actually did this because his leaders do not let things slip through :).  Great job, Noah!  3-26-19

MUTUAL
I took Noah, Erika, Jack and Molly to Heritage park for Mutual tonight.  I really like Wednesday evening better when we have something fun to do.  The weather has been awesome lately and we've really been enjoying some sun!  These four get along pretty well these days.  I appreciate them making things fun for Molly and playing with her and letting them play along with them.  They're good to her.  There were a million mosquitoes eating me alive, so we left to get some ice cream cones at Arctic Circle on our way home.  Fun evening.  3-27-19

23 WEEKS
Things are going pretty good right now with the pregnancy.  Nothing major to talk about.  I'm getting frustrated with my clothes, but that's pretty normal.  I think the good thing about being pregnant right now is Jack and Molly's constant excitement about this baby.  Any time Jack has something exciting to talk about he asks us if we think he's excited about that or the new baby.  "Do you think I'm excited for baseball to start or for the new baby?"  Then we say, "Probably both!" And he gets all giddy and says, "How did you know!"  It's the cutest thing!  He gets the biggest smile and is so happy for this baby!  I love it!  Molly too.  You can tell she has no idea what to expect with the new baby of course, but she talks about her all the time still :).  Super cute.  I have been trying to avoid some of the major things that would cause any bleeding or any problems with the Placenta Previa if I do in fact have it.  But there have been a few days I overdid it and regretted it, but only because I was so tired.  No bleeding which has been a huge blessing.  I'm hoping the placenta will just move back like it did with Molly.  I'm trying to have faith and not be too stressed about it.  3-28-19

JACK'S CLASS FOR READING
I was reading with Jack's class today in little reading groups and we weren't getting alonga s well as usual because he was taking too long to fill out his paper.  It was time to go and he came to give me a hug and then lined up to go to class.  I was talking to Mrs. Burns a little about the newborn diapers she's offered us and some newborn clothes and then I looked over at Jack and he looked really sad.  I could barely get him to look at me, which was strange, but I really thought it was because we'd been struggling a little to get along.  So I followed his class back to their room and when I had him out in the hall to ask him what was up he reluctantly told me, "When I went to hug you, I stabbed myself in the belly button with my pencil!"  Totally unexpected response!  I gave him a big hug and we checked on his belly button and tried ot make things right.  I was mostly just glad he didn't hate me.  But it was super cute of him.  3-29-19

TOILET WATER
I totally dropped my phone in the toilet!!  The unthinkable!! It fell out of my back pocket and luckily I noticed before sitting down!  I just reached my hand in and got it, didn't even think about it!  Now it's sitting in a bowl of rice.  It better be okay!!  I'm stressing a little.  Hopefully it's okay though.  Well, see.  3-29-19

RELAX
We had kind of a relaxing week this week.  I keep trying to think of things we did and either I've just forgotten it all or we didn't do anything :).  It was a nice Friday where everyone just kind of hung out here, mostly- Kelly was being tortured by the officials at her game in Riverton, Noah was watching a movie at Patane's- but other than that, we sent Charity to the store for treats and sat and watched the Jazz game together!  Pretty fun Jazz game too.  Just a nice relaxing day.  3-29-19

We got some March snow this week!  Kinda nuts, but look at Jack making the most of it :).  3-29-19

Got pizza for dinner and I about died when I saw that only ONE of the THREE pizzas I had bought had been eaten!  We even had a few friends over!  So we should have at least eaten the usual two!!  I was bugged, so I teasingly told Bridger and Brad they weren't allowed to do anything else until the second pizza was gone.  This was Brad's solution :).  "EAT MORE PIZZA PEOPLE!"  3-30-19

SPRING CLEANING
I forced everyone to clean up the game room this Saturday.  That poor room.  It's been really sad for the past... who knows how long.  It's the first step in many to clean up our downstairs and make it a more comfortable place for people.  So it was necessary.  Most of the kids helped pretty good.  Some are better than others at escaping and flying under the radar.  Nate had a few other things to get done too, so it was mostly me and a few kids, but we got it done!  I was pretty shocked that it took the whole three hours though.  I don't even know if we got to the cupboards above the sink.  Kind of doesn't matter I guess.  I started on the storage room a little, because we had pulled all the games out and we were able to get rid of a LOT of stuff from the two shelves I went through.  Kind of nice!  Something that needs to be done more often apparently!  So anyway.  Torture over.  We can start Spring break now :).  3-30-19

JACK
Jack is suddenly super tough- it's so weird :).  He keeps getting these crazy scrapes and stuff and coming to me, tear-free, and letting me know what happened, asking for a bandaid, there was one time that he had torn his pants, so he was starting to cry about the hole, but not even all that concerned about all the blood.  Kind of interesting!  3-30-19

Week of 3-17-19

ST. PATRICK'S DAY
My favorite day came and went :).  It was a huge success!  We had our Lucky Charms with surprise green milk for breakfast.  Everyone tried to wear green to church.  We learned that Molly doesn't have ANY green clothes!  She wore a cute green bow in her hair.  Nate wowed us all with Pastrami and sauerkraut sandwiches on marble rye!  SO DELICIOUS!!!  We really couldn't get enough of those!  Then, we did a fun, Sunday version, of our Leprechaun hunt for the gold.  They had to find most of their clues from the Come Follow Me lesson.  It was fun.  They found the pot of gold and ate it all evening.  Then I surprised everyone with their green treats and green note with the 17 things I love about them as they woke up from naps and such.  Lots of fun!  I just love this day!  3-17-19

TEACHER PREP DAY- NO SCHOOL!
We had a nice relaxing day off!

PRODUCE
Produce was not my favorite this week.  We got three new people and had a mix up with one of our regulars.  I ended up with an extra basket.  Then our new people took FOREVER to get their baskets.  One didn't come til the next day.  Which was really annoying.  I am having a hard time convincing myself that I want to keep doing it.  3-19-19

DINNER WITH JEN
Charity got to go to dinner with Jen.  When Jen showed up she handed me a bag with a bunch of cute CUTE onesies for our new little girl!  She's so thoughtful!  Charity and Jen went to Applebee's.  I'll have to have her tell about it.  3-19-19

PARABLE
We created our own parables for study time tonight.  Very cool!  I'm always so impressed with how much my kids can grasp.  They did awesome.  I wish I had made copies of theirs so I could document them.  3-19-19

BRAD AT SOUTH END
Brad's wrestling coach ended up getting an exhibition tournament for South End.  This meant that Brad was going to wrestle!  We were totally excited!  Nate and I went over to Farmington High as soon as we could and watched Brad wrestle twice.  One right after the other which was a total bummer.  He lost the first one because of points, and then was so tired and not rested at all for the second one against his friend, he lost that one too.  Such a bummer!  But he did great!  We have been so proud of him and all the hard work he has put into this sport! It's been a lot of fun to learn and get into it with him.  3-20-19

CHARITY REGIONAL SOLO AND ENSEMBLE
We got to go to Davis and hear Charity perform for her Solo and Ensemble.  She did amazing!  Even found out right after that she made it to State!!  Well done Charity!!!  3-20-19

INSTACARE- CONCUSSION FOR KELLY
We finally sucked up our pride (and desire to keep Kelly in her games) and took her in for her headaches.  Turns out she has a concussion and will not be able to play for a while.  Such a bummer!  She was super sad and so am I.  We will be going to see Sports Medicine soon, so we'll see what we can do about it.  Such a bummer!!  3-20-19

FATHER'S AND SONS- MARSHMALLOW MARCH
The boys all went camping in the freezing cold- got to go shooting on their way up there and then slept in the van and then had marshmallow war before leaving Saturday.  Sounded like they had a lot of fun- I will have to have them write about it.

GIRLS NIGHT
Since the boys were away, the girls had to play :).  We watched Brave Little Toaster as soon as they left- Molly had been dying to show it to the girls.  She fell asleep.  Then Erika and I played cards while we waited for Kelly's Lacrosse game to end.  Once her game was over, she and Charity came home- Charity left with friends and then the rest of us girls went to Applebee's for dinner!  Erika's choice.  That was a lot of fun.  Molly was doing funny stuff- little routines for each bite she took, she would climb down from our bar height chairs and run around and then climb back up... it was funny.  Our waitress was a little annoying, asking if we needed anything like WAY TOO often!  Like before she even brought us anything.  Which is not a big deal, but funny.  Memorable.  After dinner we stopped at Target for some shopping!  We got everyone some new clothes :).  I even found some maternity jeans.  They might need some altering, but I think they will work.  We talked molly into a cute yellow outfit and then a yellow dress as well.  Erika found a super soft jacket to replace her blue one she left in Vegas and a cute blue outfit.  Kelly found a "Yoga sweatshirt" and a "Nostalgia" t-shirt, both super soft of course.  And we found an adorable peach with white polka dot shirt and little kitties-on-the-knees-capris outfit for the baby!  I love it!  Might be her come home outfit since it's size Newborn.  My favorite size :).  That was a lot of fun.  We skipped treats because we were still full with dinner and came home for a movie.  The girls chose Peabody and Sherman.  Love that movie.  We had planned on watching the Notebook, but it was blocked on Vidangel.  Bummer.  Charity was hanging out with her friends the whole evening.  That bummed us out a little, but I guess we knew this day would come eventually.  In the mofninr, we went and got scones at Granny Annies and then played cards for a while and then we went to Hobby Lobby to browse and get some fun things to do.  Lots of shopping and lots of fun!  Then we came home and bummed around until the boys got home!  3-22-19--3-23-19

Week of 3-10-19

SLUFFERS AGAIN
This week it was Luke and Erika.  We all slept through the whole two hours of church!  It was actually pretty awesome.  I think we all needed it!  Poor Luke with his possible ear infection and Erika with her back hurting and basically just being kind of a wreck.  It was daylight savings too which never feels real great.  So anyway.  Hopefully this is our last Sunday of sickness!  I'm crossing my fingers!  We also had to miss the family meeting which didn't make anyone very happy. 3-10-19

20 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS- ULTRASOUND DVD
So the doctor's office finally decided to admit that THEY SCREWED UP!!  Although they made me drag it out of them.  Just kidding.  Sort of.  So we left without our DVD and apparently the tech recorded the next patient's video onto OUR DVD.  Then sent it home with them.  Probably against some privacy practices if you ask me.  It has all my pertinent information on it.  Which I don't really care about, but was TOTALLY BUMMED to hear that they can no longer give me MY video!  They will have to redo it if I want a video.  I'm too sentimental to just be okay with that, but I'll work on it.  I can't have an ultrasound video for EVERYONE BUT NUMBER NINE!!!!  (which actually, I don't know if I even still have everyone else's.  Some of them were on VHS too, which... who knows when we'll see those again?  So maybe I shouldn't really care...)  Anyway.  They called and told me the news on Monday.  I was bummed.  3-11-19

MUSIC MAKERS RAINBOWS
I made little rainbow things for movement time!  I'm just super proud of myself for making an effort and doing something special for it.  Not really a big deal, but right now... kinda is.  And I'm so happy to report- Molly is asking for Music Makers everyday again!  She's loving it again!  Very happy.  3-11-19

WOODS CROSS @ DAVIS LAX
Kelly's team KILLED Woods Cross on Monday- 13-1!!!  So lots of fun there :).  And this was even with the coaches telling them to stop scoring!!  Fun game!  3-11-19

20 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS- PARTIAL PLACENTA PREVIA
So Dr. Thackeray called me Monday evening.  At first I thought he was going to apologize for them losing my DVD but when he didn't mention anything about that, I remembered that he said if they found anything questionable on my ultrasound he would call this week.  I got a little worried, but he's so good at downplaying things, I didn't actually feel worried until after the phone call.  So anyway.  I guess my placenta looked really low on the ultrasound and the radiologist declared it a partial placenta previa.  Thackeray didn't feel like it was that bad, and is hopeful that it will move back up- it was looking so good in my previous ultrasound- so he just explained what that meant for me.  I guess because I've had several c-sections that increases the chances of the placenta moving up in the front and basically getting mixed in with the previous incisions.  It has a tendency to attach deeper than it is supposed.  So anyway.  He said that if that happens, which is called Placenta Accreta, there is a possibility I would need a hysterectomy when I deliver the baby.  This is actually best case scenario.  The other dilemmas would be premature delivery if I am having any issues with heavy bleeding.  Kind of scary.  I mean back in the old days people used to bleed to death from this, so I guess it's good that that doesn't usually happen anymore. It was weird because whenever I heard about Placenta Previa in the past it meant c-section, which for me is not a big deal- that's what we do!  But then when I considered the premature delivery or the possibility of other complications... it got a little scarier. I was surprised with how good I felt about the hysterectomy.  I mean, I don't WANT a hysterectomy, mainly because I don't want to go crazy, I would be more okay with tying my tubes if we're just talking about birth control, but I was surprisingly okay with this solution.  Maybe because it's the only solution in that scenario.  And maybe I live in a that-can't-happen-to-me world and it really hasn't hit, but anyway. He didn't mention bed rest or anything and really, just downplayed it a lot, so I don't stress, but he does want to check things again when I come for my next appointment.  Nothing I can do about it.  Just what this control freak needs :).
So now that I shared the bad news- here's the good news- I asked Nate for a blessing before going to bed (I was a little bit of a wreck by the end of the evening despite how cool and calm I was on the phone with Thackeray).  It was the most calming, most reassuring blessing I have had in a really long time!  Like I don't remember ever feeling so relieved!  And this is great considering this whole pregnancy started with an "It's going to be hard" prompting from the Spirit.  He told me that the timing of this baby, her coming to our family and me raising her, is in the Lord's hands!  That he is in control of the situation and has calculated it just so.  It is all in his timing.  That was nice because I had been worried that she or I wasn't going to make it and this reassurance that I will have her and raise her was priceless.  Then he talked about all the people around me who are helping me, people I can see and people I cannot see.  It was really cool.  I am so grateful for the Priesthood and for the blessing of family and that I do have people looking out for me all the time.  There were other things, the whole blessing was very nice and very reassuring!  We had just been talking about faith last week and how when we put our trust in the Lord, we can rest (speaking of the Disciples on the ship in the storm- if they had had more faith and trusted in Heavenly Father- they could have been sleeping as well).  I am going to give this one to the Lord and let Him deal with it.  I have no control, so I can just trust in Him and His ability to pull me out of this one.  I am not worried about the outcome.  Maybe a little anxious to see how it all plays out and what kind of "hard" it ends up being, but I want Him to know that I have faith that what is best for our family, for me, for our baby, will happen!  3-11-19

FHE
Noah taught the lesson about doing our part in our callings and in our family with a cute little puzzle he cut out and pointed out that it only works if we all put our part in.  Very clever, thought of it himself!  We played Four Corners for Erika's game and had Drumsticks for Jack's treat!  It was a good one!  3-11-19

EAR INFECTION
Well, it was confirmed- Luke has an ear infection.  And apparently I'm the worst mom ever for making him stick it out for four days!  We got him some antibiotics and he is basically back to normal!  It was so awesome to hear him quoting some kids at school when he got home Wednesday- it was a "Lukey's back!" moment for me!  I missed him!  3-12-19

WRESTLING- BRAD
Brad finally got another match!  He won!  Took six minutes to pin the guy, but he did it!!  I was so proud of him!  He's getting so good!  3-12-19

CHRIST'S YOKE IS EASY
For family study time tonight we talked about how Christ's yoke is easy and light.  I had Nate get out his heavy weights and we connected them to a pole and had the kids try pushing them on their own and then had Nate get in the yoke with them and push it together- Kelly made me happy when she kept saying how cool it was to see it like that.  I think it helped!  I'm happy we're getting the hang of the Come Follow Me studying.  We've been doing so good!  3-12-19

MOLLY
Molly likes to slide down the stairs on her belly, then she gets up, licks her finger and wipes it on her belly.  It's hilarious.  Then she says, "Dat what I ahways do." 3-15-19

WOMEN'S CONFERENCE
Charity, Kelly and I got to go to the Stake Women's Conference thing on Saturday.  It was so awesome!  They just had two speakers and then food after.  I really loved Brook Romney's talk.  I could really relate to a lot of the things she was talking about.  About Self Worth.  I liked reminiscing about those early years, pre-blogging, pre-comparing years when I thought I was all that and a bag of chips :).  Fun stuff.  It was a neat meeting though.  Glad we went!  I liked spending time with Charity and Kelly as well.  Good stuff.  3-16-19

LAST DAY OF SEAGULL BOOK
Charity put in her last day at her first job.  It's a little bitter sweet for me.  I really wanted her to like that job.  It wasn't what she needed though.  Although, I do wish she had found a new job before quitting too... I think she's going to enjoy being unemployed too much.  Anyway- it is nice to not have to drive up to Layton everyday and hear about Joan.  Crappy bosses are not fun.  3-16-19
