"You are not here to live a mediocre to average life; you are here to live an amazing life, a miraculous life. If it weren't for your challenges, there would be no miracles. You must do that which seems impossible, for it is only in the impossible that miracles are had." - author unknown, but very respected

Friday's Fabulous Five

1. I did a lot better this weekend at not pooping out and letting Nate do EVERYTHING. He may or may not have noticed, but I felt like I did a better job this weekend. I was happy about it regardless :)

2. I got some good Mommy/Adult conversation at Carl's Jr. with the old Taylorsville gang. Although it did make me realize how much my life is lacking woman to woman conversation and hanging out. I guess it's because there aren't too many here in Bountiful, and getting myself off the couch, much less out the door, has been somewhat of a trial for the last.... oh.... almost nine months, so I guess there's a reason. Either way, I miss it, and I was grateful for a little.

3. I got all of my laundry caught up on and for the last two days (this is Wednesday) I have been washing, drying, folding and putting away each load as it gets done. As opposed to my usual wash, dry, leave in the basket in a huge pile in the tv room until it's about to take over the place and finally fold it and then leave it in the basket all nicely folded only to be stirred around and messed all up when we're looking for something to wear. It feels really nice to not have several baskets of dirty (or clean for that matter) clothes crowding us out of our already crowded home.

4. My dear friend Andrea and I were chatting on IM today, and she mentioned a fun Halloween craft, and it totally gave me the kid crafting bug. I proceeded to go online to all my old craft websites that I used to use so faithfully and now I have a whole bunch of fun ideas for me and the boys to do when we get bored on these colder days. I'm so happy. I felt kind of guilty at first because it's been so long since I did any of these things (mainly because the girls were my sometimes nagging motivation), but the boys don't think of this stuff, so it's up to me, and so now I will!! It'll be a fun way to pass the time here while I feel like it's going so slow.

5. Everything went well at the OB appointment today. As much as I wish this little girl could be here right now, I know she needs more time in there, so I'm glad things are going well and that she is safe and sound in there for now. My uterus has got to be getting used to this, I'm sure, but I guess I don't want to take for granted the fact that we've had very VERY few complications with any of our pregnancies. This one included. Hopefully she gets all the time she needs in there!

Boys

On Monday Nate had the day off (Columbus Day) and I had already planned a lunch with my good ol' friend Julie and all our friends from Taylorsville (which I brought my camera to and then didn't get any pictures of!!! LAME!), so the boys decided to make a boys day of it. I dropped them off at Murray Park on my way to Carl's Jr. We decided that they would be able to have a little more freedom and time to roam around if I took Noah, and it's been a while since Mommy and Noah had any time together, so he came with me. But while the boys were at Murray park Nate took tons of pictures of them with his phone. They mostly just explored. Had stick races in the little streams, climbed on the trees, looked at the ducks, and played at the park. They stopped and walked over to a pizza place and had some yummy pizza together as well. What a fun Dad! They were EXHAUSTED when I finally picked them up, it was so great to see them all worn out and having had so much fun with their Dad. Cute, cute boys.

I played around and edited these a little... I love that Nate takes pictures when I'm not there.

I love this tree.... I think I want to do our family pictures there, Sarah? What do you think??

This was just on Nate's phone.... Noah loves to look at himself in the mirror (as is evident by all the finger prints :)).... he calls himself "Baby", which I think is funny, even though he really is still. In this picture he was finding all of his face parts :) It's adorable.

Some more pics from Brad's Birthday- Thanks Sarah and Brent!

Sarah and Brent played with their new camera with our kids... it's so fun to have such a nice camera in the family now.

Almost forgot.....

At the park during Brad's party, cute little Noah and Charlie were being buds. They did this a few weeks ago too, but I'm so happy to have caught it on camera this time :) Noah goes over to him and holds his hand and then drags him around for a few minutes :) It's the cutest thing ever. Noah totally thinks he's like way bigger than Charlie :) He even squats/bends down to him when he talks :) It's so funny!! They're going to be such good friends I think. Cute little cousins.....
