Monday:
Waking up too many times with Molly in the night.
Sleeping in. Me and Molly. I had to drag her out of bed at 9:30 for visiting teaching and didn't even have to feed her til 11:30!
Weird banana pancakes- some liked them some did not- but they were just egg and banana...
Buddy. Ugh.
Molly crying for a very long time... I wanna say two hours, but I'm afraid I would be underestimating.
Walking to the park with the Maughans.
Getting rained on at the park with the Maughans.
Getting poured on at the park with the Maughans.
Having the sun shine on us at the Maughans.
Walking home in the rain with the Maughans.
Jack and his training wheels coming loose again. ugh.
Kelly's game in West Haven with Grandma and Grandpa and lots of yummy snacks. Kelly did amazingly!! She so needs to be on defense!! And they won!!!
Kelly got to go to dinner with her team at Warrens.
Grandpa's birthday party! I can't believe he's 61. Sounds really old. Ice cream cake was yummy and Minions was a lot of fun to watch. You can't beat time with Uncle Steve either- so glad he called in sick... I mean.... arranged to have his dad's birthday off way in advance. :). Just kidding.
Coming home way too late and racing everyone to bed. Luckily Molly was tired too.

TEMPLE TUESDAY
I got to go to the temple with the Young Women again, finally!! WAHOO! I was feeling pretty excited about this! 4:45 didn't feel all that early! I love being with them in the temple and being able to spend those beautiful moments together. Especially with my girls. I am so grateful for Bradley and his willingness to get up at 5:30 and be my on call babysitter all morning. Such a good boy! And Molly, bless her little heart, she slept in! So all was well. I'm so glad I got to go. 5-10-16
HALF BIRTHDAY
It was so fun to inform Erika that it was her half birthday :). She was so thrilled :). 5-10-16
PIRATES WIN!
Noah's team won again! Wahoo! Noah is looking really great!! It's so much fun to watch him play and cheer for him! 5-10-16
BROTHERS
I've been so anxious for the day when Noah and Jack could play pretend together since they are both my more imaginative boys. Lately, they've been doing a little of that. On Tuesday when they were both "bored" I told them they should play with each other! So they did, and they were so cute together! I could hear talk about monsters and mean guys and getting bad guys... it was heavenly :). Then Josh and Corbin came over and wanted to play with Noah. I love that he has them, they are great friends, but this particular time, I was bummed that now Noah was going to want to play with them instead. I decided that if Jack were anyone else, another friend perhaps, I would make Noah finish playing with him and not ditch him for other friends, so I did that with this situation too! I told NOah that if he was going to go play with Josh and Corbin, he needed to take Jack with him and take good care of him. So he did! I couldn't believe it! I was relieved, but little worried still. Then about 10 minutes later, they were back! Noah informed me that "as we were walking back to Corbin's, he whispered really loudly to Josh that he didn't think bringing Jack was such a good idea. Then Josh said, 'I think it's fine'. But Corbin wasn't okay with it. He started saying mean things to Jack and was trying to think of a way to get him to want to go back home. So I had to stick up for him and decided that I didn't want Jack to have to be around him when he was being so rude, so I brought him home." awwwww!!! I'm so proud of him for sticking up for his little brother!! It's a dream come true. 5-11-16
PEELING FINGER TIPS
Poor Erika was peeling potatoes for her mashed potatoes and meatballs meal, and totally peeled into her finger! I am so mad at myself for not listening to the prompting to get out the other peeler when I noticed how much she was struggling with the yellow one. If only I could get myself to follow those. She bled like CRAZY!! It's been a while since I saw that much blood. It was her finger tip, so I'm sure that's why. I made sure it didn't need stitches, but man, that poor little girl!! It's been quite the owie too... causing all kinds of problems for everything she needs to do! Hopefully it gets better soon! That's what she gets for helping me with dinner! 5-11-16
BEEHIVE BREAKFAST (FOR DINNER)
We had our little Beehive Breakfast for Ruby Shunn's welcome :). It was so much fun. Michelle and I got to chat a lot and the girls were getting along and were so happy! I would say we have arrived :). Who knows how long it will last, but it was spectacular :). 5-11-16
SNAP
Erika came up to me during scripture time and showed me that she'd figured out how to snap! So cute!! That is a fun milestone. 5-11-16
WEEDS, CAR, PANTS, HAIR
Got the flower beds weeked, the car fixed, got me some new pants, and got my hair cut today! WAHOO!! It was almost like Christmas :). Feels great though! First time in a long time that I love my haircut! I hope I can figure out how to do it. And I love fitting in my pants again :). My old ones were way too ginormous. 5-12-16
PIRATES
I didn't get to go to Noah's game, since the TTM awards night was at the same time, but he informed me that they did in fact win! Yay for him!! I'm glad he had Charity there to cheer him on. 5-12-16
BOOK CLUB
This month was The Little Prince and I found out after I got there (late and un-RSVP-ed since I didn't think I'd go) that I had actually read the whole book! Everyone was sitting there with these tiny little books and I was confused, they informed me that I'd actually read the whole thing. Come to find out the book I bought was a trilogy! Weird that I didn't even notice :). Makes sense why "the boring part" "after the pictures" had nothing to do with the first "part". Duh. So embarrassing. I wish I could go back in time and fix my dorkiness. I'd probably have to go back way too far!! I wish we'd been able to talk about the book more!! I really wanted to hear what the others thought about the symbolism and how the allegory relates to our lives. It was such a great story for that! I had a lot of thougths and ideas I was too embarrassed to share... especially after admitting that I couldn't figure out that I was reading a totally different book after. Oh well. I'm hoping Emily will give me a book club part II. 5-12-16
DEEP CLEAN FRIDAY
I FINALLY got to do some of the deep cleaning in the kitchen this week! We missed a bunch of weeks and I kept wondering if we were just making excuses and had a mental block for the kitchen or what, but nope! It happened! I organized the cupboard above the desk and the desk! This is a very big deal in case you are thinking it sounds otherwise. Then I re-organized the pantry. Nate was able to scrub down the railings next to the family room and scrub down the table and chairs! Another big deal. These took us all morning. I am so glad we got that done. 5-13-16
HAPPY 15th ANNIVERSARY!
Friday Nate informed me that we were going to go out that night to celebrate our anniversary (since it fell on a Sunday this year and Nate works Saturday evenings). I was of course excited :). We left at 5:00 and on the way to go see the new Captain America movie, Nate told me the plans for the evening! I'll admit I was a little shocked :). But very excited as well! He told me he had reservations for dinner after the movie and then we were headed to a hotel for the night!! This was very thrilling. I liked the movie- it was entertaining, but I also didn't like it because I hated the contention between friends! There wasn't a bad guy, it was good guys fighting good guys... kinda a bummer, but it was still kinda fun. I liked the addition of Spiderman and Ant Man, although I don't feel like they compare to the Avengers really. Molly wasn't way into the movie and needed to be walked around a little, so I did miss a little of the movie, but most of it I just watched from the sidelines close to the exit. After that, we went down to Salt Lake and had dinner at the Melting Pot! I was so excited! I've wanted to go there for a long time. It was really fun and met my expectations :) Molly was a bit of a handful at the end of that as well, but we made do :). She's so good 90% of the time it's hard to complain about her. Then we headed to the Little America Hotel! This is where we went on our 3rd anniversary (if I remember right) very sentimental. I love that hotel. What a nice relaxing evening that was. Even with Molly there! Thanks for the beautiful evening and date, Nate! He asked me what I would change about our lives together, if there was anything and I honestly couldn't think of any "THINGS" I would change. Everything that has happened in our life together has been for a reason and has helped us to grow in one way or another. Many of them have helped us to grow closer to each other. I really couldn't change even the hardest of times. I did say that I wish that I could go back, even recently and change how I care about what others think. It's such a waste of my time and energy. We are doing things the way we are doing them! And no matter what anybody else thinks, it's our life! And it needs to happen the way that it needs to happen in order for us to be who we need to be. So anyway. I'm so happy with what the last 15 have been for us and hope the next 15 will be just as good. 5-13-16
WEST HAVEN
Kelly's game was bright and early Saturday morning, we had to kind of hurry home from the hotel that morning to drag the kids out of bed and take them to West Haven for Kelly's game. We were all pretty anxious for them to win since we only had two left and want to make it to the finals. Unfortunately they didn't win. We still have a change on Wednesday, but it's not really about winning. Kelly played great! She wasn't feeling good all week so this was a big deal for her to get out and play hard. She had fun. Grandpa Hatch came to help cheer her on. It was a fun game, just hate losing. 5-14-16
PIANO
So I sold the piano this week. Kind of a bummer now that I think about it. I don't know if I was just reacting too quickly and didn't think it through or what, but I keep second guessing my decision. Not that it matters. I can't take it back. Heidi started painting it for me a couple months ago and did such a cute job with a really cute light blue (my new favorite color) and I was loving it! But then we she put on the polycrilic it started to yellow. This was a total bummer. Then I got her email about the pros and cons and all the different methods to finish it and that she would not be able to since she is trying to get pregnant, I got all overwhelmed and decided it was too much for me to undertake. I really don't have time for any projects these days and having the sheet and cardboard and such all over my living room was starting to get to me (this is why I never start projects, because I have to have them finished right away or I go nuts). I listed it last week and had it sold to a lady in one day. She had paid me cash to hold it til she got someone to come pick it up, but then a few days later asked for a refund. I re-listed it and after being stood up three times by other people, this really sweet, awesome family came to look at it! They had the light of Christ in their eyes brighter than I think I've seen in a long time. They had several kids with disabilities and different problems. A set of twins, one with a cleft lip... anyway- they just had a really neat family. I was SO happy that they were going to get the piano. They were so happy about the pedal not working because they didn't want their daughter to hold it down and pound. I had to laugh- this was a match made in heaven :). I really wish it wasn't creepy to want to be friends with them :). They were so nice. We were grateful Bro. Smith was home to help lift the piano- took four guys and me and Bradley to get it out to their trailer! I am already kind of missing it. I wish we could have finished it and had it to remind me of Heidi every time I looked at it. It was going to be really cute. I would have had to get rid of it sometime though since the pedal was so busted. I never really did enjoy playing it without a pedal. We really need to find something more useful. Anyway. Kind of bittersweet. 5-14-16
STAKE CONFERENCE ADULT SESSION
I really loved the adult session this time! Way more than last time since I was in a panic about speaking the next morning at the last one. We had Elder Dewsnip (sp) and his wife presiding. Everyone gave really great messages. Some of the thoughts I had:
Everyone came here for a reason and to the place that they came to for a purpose. I want to encourage my kids (and myself) to figure out what that purpose is. Why did I come to the family that I did? Why did I come to the time that I came to? Why Utah? etc. I just want to be accomplishing all that I was sent here to do.
I want to be more aware of the opportunities to serve and make a difference in the lives of those around me. Even strangers.
Little things make a big difference. You can make big things happen in your life with just little changes. This will help me a lot. Especially when it comes to health and nutrition I think. Very important to me right now.
I loved what Sis. Dewsnip said about how our homes feel. Do our children feel comfortable in our home? Do they WANT to be here? I remember times when being at home was not my favorite, growing up. I remember wanting to be gone a lot. I also remember not liking being there but not wanting to leave for fear of what would happen while I was gone. I don't want my kids to go through that at all. I loved the idea to ask the kids what we can do to improve the Spirit in our home. What one little change can we make.
It was a great meeting. 5-14-16

Grandma Hatch's Horse Party
HORSE PARTY
Monday was the big Hatch Horse Party. The kids had a blast. They all got a chance to ride on a horse and then we all sat and played with the cool dogs for an hour. It was fun to watch the kids play with John again, it's been forever! He's so nice to entertain them. Even Jack was taking advantage of his height and got him to lift him up to shoot hoops for a really long time- I hope John's back is better than mine. Everyone loved mom's Mexican Fried Ice Cream. It was fun to spend time with the Hatches. I loved seeing Noah and Charlie together again and Luke's stories about Alvin and Savannah were fun too :). They all got along so well! I really want to try to keep them all in touch better now that they've had the reminder of who they all are. We need to be better at that. With Beth's family too. And the Idaho Mayneses. Anyway. Good times! 5-2-16 Here's what everyone else had to say about it :)

Good times! 5-2-16 Here's what everyone else had to say about it :)
"We went to Grandma's house, rode the horses, and I was the first one to ride it because the horse picked me and then I got to go around five times because he didn't know how long to make the rides. And then I had to leave to do my Kaysville Idol audition. After my tryout, Dad took me to Fresh Market and I got HiChews and I was eating them and found out I had a loose tooth and it was hurting most of the time so I couldn't eat any of the food. And Heidi was there and John and Brent and Sarah and Charlie and Alvin and Savannah. It was really fun and there was a giant dog."
"So we went to Grandma's house and then we went and rode those really awesome horses. And we got to ride them and I went on second. Then we rode around a couple of times. And then after we were done, I got off the horse and my whole body was covered in horse hair. Then after we rode the horses we went over to Grandma and Simon's house and I went with John and Heidi to Costco to get some food that they forgot to get. And then we came back. And we ate the food and played around outside and talked. And then there was this really really good dessert there. And it was SO delicious and it was great. Then after that we all went inside because it was getting kind of freezing and we got to just kind of talk in there and eat more food. And then I got a pack of gum and I lost it in the car and then we went home. And it was lots of fun because we got to see Brent and Sarah and their family."
"I thought it was interesting because that horse was like my 8th time being on a horse. So I wasn't scared even though they told me it would be a little scary on that horse, but it wasn't. It was fun to see my cousins that I didn't even see for a very long time."
"I riding a horse! I ride the white one."
"We went down to Grandma's neighbor's house and they had horses, so they let us ride them. And there was this huge dog and this other tiny dog that liked me a lot. And then the horse, named Georgia, I rode on her and she was trying to speed up cause I was probably pushing her. Then when we got off I played with Savannah and Jack and then we went back to Grandma's house and there was a whole bunch of snack food and there was a bag of cheese puffs and I took a whole bunch of cheese puffs cause they were so good. And then we went outside and shot hoops with Alvin and CHarlie and them. And then after there was donuts and I got donuts on my way back and then we were talking and then I had to go and I was shooting hoops. It was fun to play with Alvin, Charlie and Savannah and Brent and Sarah."
"I thought it was really fun cause I got to ride on the biggest horse and I got to spend time with my cousins that I only get to see like once every two years. I also thought it was fun because that was my first time riding on that big of a horse. I also thought it was fun because I felt the Spriit and I was spending time wiht my family. And there was food!"
"It was really fun."
