So funny!

I can post about this now because I know Luke won't read it :), but he did get grounded from his tablet for it (mostly because he needs to take a break, but also because this was SO NAUGHTY!!).  So we had had scriptures, prayer, even our journal time, everyone had brushed their teeth, hugged goodnight, I had changed Jack and was rocking him in his room.  We had been rocking for a good half hour (with no success), I'd had to get after Noah a few times because he was making too much noise or wasn't staying in bed- whatever.  I heard some noise coming from Noah's side of the room and I got after him, told him he needed to go to sleep very sternly, he was good and said, "okay" and then there was some giggling!!!  All of a sudden, I realized that this was not Noah or Jack's giggles!!!  It was LUKE!!!  The little pill had been playing around under Noah's bed for the past half hour or so!!!  He of course was supposed to be in his own bed, possibly asleep!!!  Naughty naughty boy!  But I gotta hand it to him, he was pretty quiet for a very long time!  Sure surprised me!  1-25-15

So today I was sitting next to Jack on the couch.  He was standing and I was sitting.  He turned to me and rubbing his tummy said, "Ow".  So I asked him if his tummy hurt and he said yes.  I told him I was so sorry and asked if I could kiss it better for him.  He said, "no".  Then a couple of minutes went by, I think we were watching tv or something.  Then all of a sudden there was Jack's cute, round belly, right next to my cheek!  Jack was repeating the word, "Yeah."  Like the offer was still standing and he was now going to take me up on it :).  What a cutie!!  It was mostly just funny that all of a sudden his belly was in my face :).  But oh so cute that he wanted me to kiss it better :).  I love that kid.  1-27-15

Okay, so this is going to be hard for me to describe, I know, but it was too funny to not document.  So last night, Bradley was wrestling a little with Jack.  They actually did a lot of funny moves, Jack was climbing up onto the couch, then jumping off almost onto Bradley, but just missing him and letting his elbow land on Bradley (I promise this kid has never watched WWF!).  He would fly through the air at him too a few times.  So Bradley was playing along, trying to have fun and protect himself at the same time :).  Then this is the funny part- Jack whipped out his secret weapon (Apparently).  He just started breathing on him :).  As soon as he got in a tight spot, this quick little soft puff of air, almost like he's blowing out candles, but not even because it wasn't strong enough or long enough!  So funny.  I was laughing my head off.  He did it over and over again.  He knew it was working because the minute he puffed in Bradley's face, Bradley would fall over.  So it was a pretty effective move.  The serious look on his face and the way he totally paused before doing it, just made it priceless.  I hope he keeps doing it- it's hilarious.  2-10-15

Jack-ism:
I'm loving some of the new things that Jack does lately.  When we sit down to eat (or while I'm cooking it) he points at the food and very seriously asks, "Ew?"  Like, is that gross?  I tell him it's yummy, he questions me a few more times before giving it a taste.  Then when he likes it, this is the funny part, he nods his head a little, gives me a cute little thumbs up, and then says, "Nummy."  Like it's getting his stamp of approval :).  It's so adorable.  The thumbs up is my favorite part.  He does that a couple times just for good measure I think.

Erika was teaching Jack how to dance today- she actually got him to swing his hips :).  I loved it.

At Erika's first swim lesson Jack really wanted to get in the pool.  I explained to him that he couldn't but that when he turns three he can.  We talked about how he is two and that soon he will be three and then he can go in the pool and have swim lessons like Erika.  So now every time we go, almost every five minutes that we are there, he turns to me and with his cute little hand holding pretty much a "four" says, "wee?"  We talk about it nonstop :).  Makes me laugh.  He's so cute the things he latches onto.

We had to bribe Luke with candy to get him to swallow his pills... he's either going to be able to hear soon, or have more cavities...

Jack puts his cute little hand up to his face, not cupped, but just next to his mouth, when he yells for people... totally cracks me up!  DAAAAAAAD!

We've been practicing a lot of words with Jack lately, mostly easy ones.  He's really good at saying them when he is focusing and thinking about it.  He said, "Shoe" tonight and "Fork" even attempted Ch-ar-ity.  But as we were playing in the backyard, I saw a helicopter and pointed it out to him.  He always responds with "Bye", like it's leaving, so I said, "That's a helicopter, Jack!  Can you say HELICOPTER?" (halfway joking really), and he of course nodded his head, yes! :).  What a cutie.
