"You are not here to live a mediocre to average life; you are here to live an amazing life, a miraculous life. If it weren't for your challenges, there would be no miracles. You must do that which seems impossible, for it is only in the impossible that miracles are had." - author unknown, but very respected

Things to Remember Week of 9-6-15

SLUFFERS
Molly and I skipped church.  Not because I didn't want to go, and not because I didn't think Molly could go, but because I didn't want to hear everyone weirded out that we came.  I'm strong enough to go, but not strong enough to handle the comments.  I hate missing church.  We slept most of the time, so it was probably for the best, but I still hate missing church.  I don't know if I'll be able to keep myself home again.  But I hate the thought of all the looks and stuff... we'll see.  9-6-15

LABOR DAY
Labor day was kind of a drag.  I'll be honest.  I was starting to wean myself off the percocet because I was running out of it.  So the pain was there.  Then Nate had decided to work that day since it's a holiday.  He was training too, so it was double time plus 10%.  Can't really pass that up.  It was an okay day for the kids, they got to sleep in and play with their friends all day, but I felt a lot of pressure from Charity to make it more fun and I just couldn't.  Kind of a bummer.  I had really wanted to try to go to Seven Peaks, but I couldn't work out the logistics with not being able to drive.  So we waited for Nate to get home.  By then it was getting colder and the thought of it being the last day it's open, PLUS a holiday... well, we gave up and decided to just go to the family BBQ afterall.  That ended up being a lot of fun for everyone and I was able to just sit there with Molly on the couch and hang out talking to everyone.  I should have brought the camera I guess.  9-7-15

TEMPLE TUESDAY
I missed my first temple day with the YW.  Kind of a bummer.  Something I've been NOT looking forward to.  But I was so proud of my girls, they still got up at 4:45 and went to do baptisms with Jami and a few other YW.  They're so faithful!  9-8-15

THE MID
Nate decided to keep his mid shift this week, just because it's so hard to get rid of them.  And we thought it's not like we would need him here.  Well, Molly proved us wrong!  She was having some weird case of gas or something, screamed ALL. Night. Long.  It was awful!!  I shouldn't have looked at my clock, but she woke up around 1:00 (going to bed at 11:00), and didn't fall back asleep until 5:30!  I had to get up at 6:30 to wake up the girls, so it was a rough morning to say the least!!!  Holy Moly!  We are hoping this was a one time thing that it doesn't become a habit.  I will say that I think it was a blessing that I had decided to take the last percocet that night, at least I wasn't in more pain.  9-8-15

NO PAIN MEDS
Wednesday was a horrible day.  I hated it.  I was in so much pain and so tired from the night before.  I just wasn't a happy camper.  I couldn't get myself to just sleep, I decided to go to Costco with Nate.  That was a nice change to just get out, but still... not the best thing to do probably.  I got a text that evening from Megan asking if the Laurels could come do some service in my house.  I consented to the weeds since the inside of our house is a little like a war zone right now.  They were so sweet to come and pull all of our hairy scary weeds in the bed in the front!  What a relief that was!  And actually, I LOVED being out there and talking to them and Jami a little.  Felt like therapy.  I felt so blessed when Debbie McColley showed up with dinner... that really can be the hugest relief sometimes!  It's amazing how much stress making dinner can be.  I wish I hadn't cried on her though.  Dumb medicine that messes with my head and turns me all emotional when I stop taking it.  It was a full evening though, Luke had scouts, Bradley had football, Charity and Kelly had YW, which I missed out on :(.  I was glad when that day was over.  9-9-15

THINGS ARE LOOKING UP
Thursday morning, I woke up late, had no recollection of turning off alarms or anything, felt like crap and things were not looking good for Thursday.  I decided to ask Nate to take care of the morning and went back to sleep.  Awesome right.  Well, I did it.  Once everyone was off I got out of bed, and immediately asked for a blessing.  I really needed a pick-me-up.  That blessing was just what I needed.  The pain has been minimal since then and I have felt a lot more mentally and emotionally stable.  Two things I hadn't felt for a few days.  Nate and I carried out our awesome day, got to try Moe's Southwest Grill, ran a couple more errands and then came home and took a nice long nap!  Such a great day! :).  And then some more dinner came rolling in from Stacey Empey that evening as well.  Phew!  It was a good recharging day.  Here's to the next few and forever. 9-10-15
