Noah-isms

Noah is obsessed with my phone. He will do anything to get it in his possession and then do whatever it takes to keep it. Including full out tantrums when I take it away. Thought I should apologize to anyone who has received calls from him. I thought I was so clever turning it off, but he knows how to turn it back on now..... probably shouldn't even let him hold it anymore.

sometimes he says stuff on it too :) way cute.

And this is Noah's drawer. My dad has a drawer in his kitchen that is empty and Noah discovered it. Now when we go upstairs to bum around and watch tv with Steve or my Dad, this is one of the first places he goes. I think it's adorable. I'm glad my Dad got the pictures (and he did get like 15 of Noah in the drawer so congratulations to me for choosing on two :)).

old pictures

Some more from my Dad's camera.... I just think Lukey looks funny in this one :)

Here's me laughing at Loni..... this was back in February at Nana's bday party.

my dad puts up with so much from my kids! poor guy.

Nana's awesome dice cake. I can't remember if I got one of these shots myself, and I"m took lazy to check.... gotta have one for the blog book.

What would we do without Aunts and Uncles to climb around on!

This was at Charity's birthday. I just think the look on her face is hilarious in this one. She didn't know what the heck she had opened :) It was a very special gift though, that Brad and Kelly picked out, some nightlights because "Charity is afraid of the dark"!! I loved it.

She was so funny about these DVDs. She had gone shopping with my Dad for tons of presents, and this was one of them, but I don't think she even knew what it was, because she was SO excited about it, but didn't even watch them until about a month later. And when she did, she said, "This is a DVD? Of Hannah Montana show? Cool!!!" I can't figure out what she thought it was :) But she was thrilled as you can see :)

These are from crazy hair day! I totally screwed up (well, let's blame it on the school since there was no note sent home) and didn't know it was for the whole school.... Kelly missed out. She totally improvised though, when she got there and found out it was for her class too, and just took out the hairdo we had done and kind of messed her hair up :) Smart girl. Charity looked awesome.

aww yes, and Kelly learning to ride her bike. My Dad got some really good shots. I know this is like the third time I've posted pictures of this momentous occasion, but whatever.... can you really get enough of the cute little girl on two wheels?

Some Random Thoughts and Things

Charity pulled out the "but YOU always get to wear YOUR hair down or in a pony tail, Mom!" when I told her she couldn't. Needless to say I let her wear it down 3 days in a row. It is much more comfortable.

On the way home from taking Nate to work today, right as we started up the hill, Luke noticed the sun just barely peeking up over the mountain. He squealed with excitement, "MOM!!! WOOK!!! The sun is coming up!!! I can see it!" What a cutie. I wish I got that excited to just see the sun.

Bradley said, "Wouldn't it be cool if we lived up in the mountains where the sun sleeps?" How poetic is that!

Someone stole the face off of our stereo. How LAME can you be?! Seriously! Now we can't use our CD player, radio, or DVD player (well, we can watch, just no sound..... fortunately it makes little difference to our kids). I had hoped that the kids had just gotten ahold of it somehow and that I would find it in the car, but after a very thorough cleaning, it's still missing. I'm bummed. What a mean little theif. Luckily they found no interest in my purse, or anyof the the other things in the car. And we do still have our stereo, so I guess it could be worse. When Nate and I were engaged, his car was parked out in front of my house, someone broke into it and totally busted open the whole dash to steal his stereo. That was SO annoying. They stole his cell phone too I think, but the incompetant theif left the bag with his work stuff in it (blank checks, another cell phone, important documents, etc.) AND the thing I found funniest, they left the HUGE bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs that was in the glove box. I was glad, but come on.... blank checks and Mini Eggs!! I do have to say that in a way I feel like it was meant to be that we not have use of our stereo for a while. We all talk more, it's quieter, more thinking time and I was just thinking the other day how much I missed all the singing we used to do in the car. So some good can come of this I'm sure :) Is there a point at which a new face for the stereo becomes a need and not just a want though?

It hit me yesterday that since our baby is a girl..... NO CIRCUMCISION!!!!!! No diapers coated in vaseline to have leaking all over the place!!! And while I wouldn't trade my boys for the world.... this is a definite plus to me, with having a girl. Isn't that a nice little bonus?

Why do they have to repeat things so much on the kid shows these days. I feel like half of the show is them repeating what they just said! Drives me nuts!

I realized the other night that it is easier for me to fake like I feel good when I am around outside people (not just family), and it occurred to me that my kids are getting the raw end of the deal. They have to see me all whiny and grumpy and then the minute we step out of the house I am all better. I decided that starting right now I am going to make an effort to pretend to feel better for my kids and not just outside people. It's only fair to them. They deserve a mom that can suck it up and just smile even she's not feeling 100%.

Charity and Kelly keep asking things like, "when will our baby sister be able to come home from the hospital?.... and then when can she sleep in our room?" Then I heard Charity giving everyone the run down on how it goes.... "hospital 3 days, sleep in mom and dad's room for a while, and THEN SHE CAN SLEEP IN OUR ROOM!!!!....... and she's sleeping in the middle!"

I had felt my baby move a few times (back when I announced that) and then I didn't feel her move for a while after. And for about the last 3 days before my ultrasound, I didn't feel her even budge. It was driving me crazy!! I don't know why I worry so much, but I think we've just been so blessed with all of our children and their coming into the world that I'm almost waiting for something bad to happen (sounds a little pessimistic wouldn't ya say). But anyway, I just find it really funny that as soon as we had our ultrasound, she has not stopped moving :) Like she just wanted me to acknowledge that she was a girl, and not a boy like I kept saying. Or maybe she just wanted me to be more grateful for each little movement. Either way, it worked. I do love the movement, it's always something I miss after they're born (which is silly, but...). I'm really excited for this little girl to come to our family.

More pics from Father's Day

My Dad just gave me all these pictures from his camera so here are a few more from Father's Day....

could do without the boogers.....sorry.

My brother is such a cute daddy!

Aunt Heidi surprised the girls with birthday presents (it's been a while apparently), and then spent a lot of time coloring with them and playing games

And the cutest dad ever ;)

Not until you're 18, Bradley!

Today Bradley made a picture for the mailman. He didn't want any help with it, so it ended up in a bill envelop (the kind with the open window and the blank lines for the return address). He asked me how to write "To You" and then put it in the mailbox. He kept checking on it ALL day waiting for the mailman to get his letter. Out of nowhere he realized that he never wrote "from Brad" on it, so he ran out and brought it back in to write that with help. Then he took it back out there and waited some more. (Can you sense the suspense that is building up in the little boy) So later on in the afternoon we were out on the porch watching the rain and lightning (a little therapy for my kids, we'll call it :)), and we saw the mailman pull up!!!! Brad's little eyes lit up, and he immediately ran down the steps and down the driveway announcing that he was going to go tell the mail man about his letter. (and this is huge considering how deathly afraid of the ran/wind/thunder/lightning combo he is) He got down there and I of course had lost visual on he and Kelly. I could hear words being exchanged and wondered if the mailman (it was actually a woman) would even be able to understand him. Well, a disappointed little Bradley (head down, shoulders down) came back up to the porch silently and wouldn't tell me what happened. Then Kelly made her way up and announced that the mail lady had told them that "they cannot get the mail unless they are 18!!!!" I dragged the rest of the details out of Brad. Apparently she didn't even give Brad a chance to say anything to her before driving off. And was a little bit rude to them both :( (not that I blame her, I'm sure that was the last thing she was expecting- I knew I should have gone down with them), but it was sad. I felt bad for him. We're going to leave it in the mailbox for the mailman to get tomorrow :)
