Happy Halloween

We had an awesome Halloween this year! It started with a fun little carnival at the school on Thursday. The kids all got to dress up and we basically just ran around using up all of our tickets on all of the fun games and food. One of the rooms had Charity's teacher reading "Spooky Stories" so we went in there for a while. It was cute to see Charity in her element and with her teacher. I just LOVE her teacher. She's sweet. They had such a good time!! I did too! It was just a really fun activity for our family.

On Halloween we pretty much sat around for most of the day, minus our little Spring Cleaning bug that we had for a few hours. Nate and I got SO MUCH done, it was awesome. If anyone needs any baby boy clothes... we've got tons!
Once trick-or-treating time hit, we hurried and got everyone in their costumes. It was fun this year to go all out with the face paint... the kids liked it anyway :) I couldn't believe how lucky we got with costumes this year. The girls were way easy and cheap and the boys' we just borrowed, so that was nice. I hate spending a lot on Halloween for some reason. The kids had a good time trick-or-treating with Dad. I stayed home and passed out candy to the few people that came. I don't know that I would have made it through much trick-or-treating anyway though.... this pregnancy has been nuts with the contractions and when you put walking and cold together.... well.... it's not my favorite! They went to the house of our old Bishop (the one we had when we lived here before) and they actually let them in and let them pick out of all of these FABULOUS things that were on a table in their house. Games, toys, huge bottles of Gatorade, you name it.... it was the talk of the evening... they all loved the thing they got from the Milligans. I thought that was really fun of them. I guess Nate ended up carrying Noah the whole way. We probably should have just kept him home since he had been throwing up the night before, but he did alright. And who wants to miss out on the trick-or-treating! Luke was done once his bag was "too heavy" to carry. I think the girls could have gone longer, but they got TONS of candy, so it's all good.
When they got home they dumped out their bags and sorted... the usual. They all brought over Reese's that they had collected for their Mom.... how sweet is taht! I couldn't believe how generous. They're so sweet. Then after they got jammies on they all just bounced off the walls for about an hour. It was really cute, at one point in the burning off the sugar, Noah was showing the kids a trick and much to his surprise they were all VERY fascinated and entertained by his trick. I think he was running down the all and then when he got to the play room he would bend over and put his head down like he was going to do a somersault. It was so fun to watch them all laugh and clap and get all into it for him. And Noah was just on a cloud :) He totally felt like the coolest thing ever.


Kelly was a pink kitty- this costume idea came from the cute ears that Heidi gave her when we were moving Heidi to her new condo. I love how Kelly picks something MONTHS ahead and sticks with it until she does it! Makes it nice fo rme. She loved the fluffy edges on her costume... she felt so pretty.




Luke was a dragon. Thanks for the costume Meg. He was not so sure he wanted to be a dragon until about a week before he finally told someone he was going to be a dragon and not a Pirate (lingered from last year I think), he was very happy with the dragon idea on Halloween. He and Brad kept comparing who was bigger and scarier, a Dragon or a Dinosaur. Cute boys.




Brad was a Dinosaur. He TOTALLY wanted to be one for the last couple of months and lucky for us Meredith had one that she was so willing to share!! He LOVED being the "scariest one".

Cute little Noah was a skunk. He totally hated us for putting his costume on him, but he got used to it and looked SO ADORABLE!! Thanks for this one too, Meg.

And last, but not least, Charity was a vampire! I seriously thought she would change her mind before Halloween. I really didn't want to dress my sweet girl up like this, but look how good it turned out!! She looked AWESOME!! We were all a little freaked out once we got the fake blood on her, but she looked great. At the carnival her friends and teacher kept saying how they hardly recognized her! She loved that. Kylan (this little boy that she is friends with) LOVED her costume and kept hanging around her the whole time.... cute.

I'm not as happy with this year's pictures for some reason.... last year's were better.

I still need to post our pumpkin carving night!! I had lost my camera and used my dad's for those.... those will have to wait I guess. But here's a sneak peek :)

These are all the crazy-huge things they got trick-or-treating....

Luke got a mini pool table that everyone played with for quite a while (for something that is what it is)

Noah thought this was great! He looked SO adorable when they walked in the door with his bag of candy and the back of potato chips in the other hand. Saying, "Mine, mine, mine" as he walked. I think he was pretty much in heaven with all the "eets".

I love watching them sort it all out.... brings back memories.

It was a fun Halloween! Today, on the way to school, Brad says to me, "Halloween is only 1 day? That's dumb." So I think he had fun :) Time to get ready for the next holiday.... OUR BABY'S BIRTH-DAY!!!! We are still counting down... tearing off links on our chain.... We're down to the single digits!!! 8 more days!
