10. Sunday we had a fast for my little brother.



9. Monday for FHE Brad did the lesson and he did SUCH a cute job. He didn't really want any help. He chose NOT to do an activity (even though this was our activity week) and decided to teach us about Service :) He went around the room asking everyone what Service meant to them, then went aruond the room again whipsering into each ear a person who they would serve for the next five minutes. Then we all jumped up and went and did something for the person we had. It was actually really fun!! He was very clever here. I had Luke, I put his clothes away for him and got him a treat :). Then I helped Luke and Noah do Kelly and Charity. We put their clothes away and then made their bed. It was so fun!! They loved it too. Then Brad went around the room asking us how we felt afterward. Such a cute lesson. I loved it and I loved that he did it himself. I'm happy with how our FHE's are going these days. I like our new Family folder



8. Monday was also the day Steve got out!! We were all very happy to see him. He was happy to see us too :) Erika smiled when Steve came to hold her. I think she was a little unhappy while he was gone and now I know why.



7. ALSO on Monday, Charity attended her very first Activity Days activity. She had a lot of fun. I can tell she was a little nervous about it. They made their own set of eggs to tell the Easter story. I love those kits. She's going to share it with us on Easter.



6. On Wednesday Kelly got to go to the Living Planet Aquarium for a field trip with her grade. She had a lot of fun. She was really happy that I let her take her lunch from home.



5. Also on Wednesday I got to go have lunch with Charity at the birthday table at school. We had a total blast! She informed me early on that most parents bring food from somewhere else.... "like Carls Jr."..... so that's what I did :) She was happy. It was fun to sit and talk with her. She got a good laugh when I told her about how Erika spit up down my shirt and then pooped otu all over her clothes during the five minutes we were sitting there waiting for Charity to come. She sure just loves life. I love that. She told me a lot about this book that she has been enjoying, "The Enormous Egg" and then told me a funny story about how she and her friends "hurried and finished their lunch, snuck up to the classroom....." This is where I got nervous because I thought she was meaning that they had been doing something they shouldn't but then had to smile when she finished it with, "and we cleaned up the classroom for Mrs. Owen." What a cute little group of girls. They do this on the days that they have inside recess apparently because they want to surprise their teacher. I love it.



4. On Thursday was Charity's field trip to the Botanical Gardens, but they changed it at the last minute and went somewhere that Charity is calling "The Utah House" I have yet to figure out where and what that is. She played with bugs. I find it strange that they changed the location of the field trip without so much as a note home to the parents to tell us about the change. Although I couldn't imagine the Gardens being any fun when there were 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground!



3. ALSO on THursday we took Erika in to find out her ear infection was not completely healed and she had a really bad yeast infection from the antibiotics. Poor little lady. We got some more antibiotics, some probiotics, and some stuff for her bumb rash. I'm hopeful that she will be back to herself in a few days here. Assuming she doesn't get anything else!



2. For April Fools on Thursday Brad and Luke ended 90% of their statements with "April Fools". Whether they were foolin or not :) It's cute that they like it. I tricked the kids with Mac N Cheese for breakfast (weak I know, but I hadn't really planned anything and we were out of breakfast foods). I tricked Brad at the Dr. office telling him he had to get shots. Then tricked him again when I told him he had a bunch of jobs to do today. He actually cried that time (more than the shot idea??? weird.), but he got me back when he told me that Daddy was home two hours early. He and I had a lot of fun. I resisted the temptation to trick Nate a few times, and that was probably a good thing. But next year, I'm going all out.



1. And the last thing I want to document for this week...... While we were sitting at the school waiting for the girls to get out, Brad saw the way the sun was shining on the freshly fallen snow on the mountain in this one particular spot (the rest of the sky was gray) and happily shouted out, "Jesus is coming!!! Look Lukey! Jesus is coming!!!" How adorable is that. Wouldn't that be cool!
