- On Friday (7-9-10), Charity and Kelly made me breakfast in bed. I got to sleep in and eat in bed, it was fantastic.
- At church on Sunday (7-11-10), Brad got to go up in Primary and "sit on the throne and be the king"! He savored every minute of it and has kept the crown on for two days now. It's adorable.
- On Monday (7-12-10), Noah went around doing all sorts of jobs, vacuuming up his cracker crumbs, making me pizzas and fuffins, and then folded a whole bunch of kitchen towels for me! Without my even asking. Is that not awesome!! (oh and btw, the cooking was the only pretend thing he did, the rest was for real!)
- Charity and Kelly have been coughing ALL week. It's been nuts! I'm not sure what to do with them. Seems like no matter how often my kids get sick, I still feel clueless each time. I wish I had an otoscope.
- On Wednesday (7-14-10) We got to have Meg's kids over for the day. The kids had a total blast. Kelly and Sierra were all excited to help me change the tv room around (kind of a last minute idea, but Meg got me thinking about it).... they were so cute to be so anxious to help me. The boys mostly played the wii, and probably spent way too much time in front of the tv, but it was just so hot!! Then the girls helped me make some Frozen Hot Chocolate. We just had a lot of fun. Good times. It's nice to have cousins.
-something really cool happened on Thursday. And I'm sure this could be taken the wrong way and sound totally snobby, but I really loved it and I want to remember it. I was the fun mom for a change!! We were at Pace's getting popsicles and ice cream, and had just a really good time. We were probably more obnoxious to the few people around us than anything else, but that's why I go to places like that.... very few people. But we were goofing around a little, everyone was really giggly and happy.... Noah was sitting between Charity and I and since the bench was so short for all three of us he kept getting his ice cream on all of us.... it was hilarious really. He even got it on Charity's forehead at one point. We were all just so hyper. Anyway, there was this lady with a few kids across the aisle and back a little and she and her kids just looked SO BORED!!! I don't think I saw the say two words to each other. I totally don't say this to judge her... I've so been there, where you're just too tired to be the entertainment and taking them to ice cream is fun enough.... so don't get me wrong, nothing against her, and who really knows what the situation was anyway, but I was just so happy to be the one that WAS having fun with my kids. Not getting after them, not being frustrated with the messes (though there were MANY), and not worrying about the giggling noise..... I loved it. Made me feel all recharged as a mom. And that's all I have to say about that.... I hope you're not all thinking I'm a jerk now :)
