"You are not here to live a mediocre to average life; you are here to live an amazing life, a miraculous life. If it weren't for your challenges, there would be no miracles. You must do that which seems impossible, for it is only in the impossible that miracles are had." - author unknown, but very respected

The Living Planet Aquarium

I had the opportunity to go on Kelly's field trip with her on Thursday.  It was a bit of a surprise, kind of last minute since I didn't know I had been chosen to go.  I was late getting my $6 to her teacher, so on Wednesday morning, when I was supposed to have it in, but I was there, reading with the kids, Mrs. Ashliman came out to the hallway and informed me that because they get 4 parents in for free, she would let me be one of the free parents!  Wahoo!  That was nice of her, and I was happy :).  So Thursday came, my Mom willingly watched my two toddlers and the toddler puppy as well.  I had to ride separate from Kelly, in a carpool of Moms, Kelly rode in the bus, and we all met up at the Living Planet Aquarium.  We had a lot of fun.  It was just Kelly, her friends Sariah and Lucy, and Lucy's Mom in our group.  We covered quite a bit of ground before our scheduled lecture on high tide and low tide.  But much to Kelly's dismay, we did not get to see the otters.  I must say, if you're going to drive all the way out there and go out of your way to do something like that, why not let the kids look at the cool animals the entire hour, rather than cutting it in half for a lecture that they could easily receive in the classroom?  Just a thought.  We did have a lot of fun!  Good times!  I can't believe I forgot my camera, hopefully Valerie will give me some of the ones she took on her camera ;)
