Kelly wanted to play with Jack, so we got out this old toy of Erika's- it's totally girly, and probably too advanced for Jack to even appreciate it :), but Kelly thought he looked like he was having fun and she wanted some pictures of him.
Once again, I've failed to keep track of most of the things we did this past week. But I still want to journal a lot of it! Here it is in no particular order:
- on the first day of school, after our Costco shopping, we came home to a lady in our ward with an armful of muffins and donut holes (she'd been at Costco the same time as us), and cute little baby jammies. She had brought us food and a gift. I barely know her, and yet she still offered to help "tidy things up" after seeing how trashed our house looked :) (it was after a Sunday morning tornado followed by a long holiday of not being around long enough to clean up... so it was bad!) I of course turned it down, but I was so grateful for the offer, and surprised at the thought.
- Our friends the Curtis' brought us dinner Monday night. Just because. I am so surprised at how many people just choose to bring dinner over without being asked or signing up for it.... very nice.
- I cuddled with Noah. He needed it and frankly, so did I!
- Everyone did their homework everyday!
- Saturday we went Jet skiing with Grandpa Hatch one last time! It was so much more enjoyable this time, not being pregnant and all. I think I still over did it though. I didn't even ride the jet skis because of some of the pain and other issues I was having, but just walking along the beach in the sand, seemed to put too much strain on my c-section parts. I was glad that Nate and the kids got to have so much fun again though! The weather was so much different than the last time we went. Pretty cold to begin with (Nate and my Dad didn't even want to get in the water to ski), and then warm for most of the afternoon. I was done once the wind started picking up again. I hate wind! It was a lot of fun though! Jack even did pretty well, mostly slept and ate. I held him the entire time, so I don't know how he could have complained :). 9-8-12
- Everyone's loving their 10 minutes of staying up late, they all have wanted to hold Jack for their 10 minutes. So cute! I love that these guys love him so much!
