"Margo"
Charity was a sport and dressed up in a costume that didn't really look that much like a costume, just to complete the Despicable Me theme. She's a good go-along girl. I thought she looked great! I was so happy we found the green jacket!
"Edith"
Kelly looked great! She worked so hard on her shirt, painting the stripes.
I worked really hard on her hat, I think it turned out perfect :)
"Agnes"
If only you could see Erika's awesome hair in this picture! She looked spectacular :)
I loved the unicorn, I'm glad it was small enough to just tie around her neck :)
"Minion"
Jack Jack put his hat on and left it on ALL EVENING!! I was so happy :). We lost his overalls somehow- don't even ask me how that happens! I mean, there was like a week there that I was unable to do the laundry, but I went through every single basket in the house and NOTHING! So, he was in blue pants.... whatevs :)
"One-eyed Minion"
Luke wanted to be the one with one eye. I wish I'd made the white of the eye bigger :), but he turned out great! Don't tell him this, but he was able to fit in Charity's overalls, so that worked out great :).
"Purple Minion"
Bradley had a lot of back and forth with this idea- so there was a last minute, mad dash to finish his hat the night before the school party day. I think the hat turned out perfectly, but I wish I'd found him some black overalls. He improvised though and I think it turned out just great!
"Bumblebee"
Noah opted out of the Despicable Me theme. I'm glad he felt like that was okay. I never want them to feel pressured to do something. They were all very flexible about it and talked about how great Noah's costume was :). Good kids. He did look great! I was so happy that we found the costume in the odds and ends basket at Walmart a few nights before, for half the price it would have been! PLUS it's reversible! The "red transformer" is on the inside! Very cool.
I loved this theme. I think we pulled it off. Next year we go with something easier...
The kids were very concerned about the neighbor kids going with us! They wanted to make sure the Maughan's and Caldwells trick-or-treated with us. They ran around all afternoon trying to coordinate it all. It was cute. I'm glad that at least the Maughan's were with us. Turned out to be a really fun night. I LOVE Halloween!
The goods.
This made up for all the nagging I had done all day to get the house cleaned up for the shower the next day. All was well.
