New Year's Eve
We had a very exciting New Year's Eve this year!! Well, once we got over to the Maughan's it was exciting. I about killed everyone before that. Must have been their anxiousness to go over there, but they were OUT OF CONTROL for the whole afternoon and evening. But anyway- we had our traditional party with the Maughans and invited the Patanes this year. We had delicious food, played games- Curses is a new favorite- fun game, but I stink at it. Apples to Apples was a lot of fun too. The kids played their little hearts out. We laughed, ate junk food, laughed and laughed! I laughed A LOT that night. Then came time to make noise! I can't believe how much noise we made! For about 20 minutes too! Jeff's train horn and loud firework totally blew our usual pots and pans out of the water!!! The kids tooted on their little noise makers too. It was INSANE!! But very fun and very memorable. Hopefully 2018 is as good as 2017 was! 12-31-17
BACK TO SCHOOL
It was a sad day for Molly and I when the kids all went back for school. Quiet, but very sad. We were not ourselves. I think the kids appreciated getting back into a routine though. 1-2-18
BULLETIN BOARD
Our Primary Presidency was in charge of the big bulletin board in the Primary room this year. We scrambled together some ideas, had Kelly draw our main picture and then threw on a border and some stars. It was a lot of fun for us to hang out and pull it off. Thankfully we had Kelly's talent- she did the hard part really. I like our idea to have the kids contribute and put their names on stars to put on there. I think it's going to be really cute. 1-2-18
PUZZLE PIECE
Kelly was asked to make another one of her puzzle pieces by Barbara Noriega. I thought it was cool of Barbara to use Kelly's services. She did such a good job and got to feel pretty cool about it with all of Barbara's oogling over it. This could really turn out to be a cool thing for Kelly if she can drum up some more business! I'm really proud of her. 1-4-18
COATS
I took Charity and Kelly up to get matching coats like mine :). They were $5 cheaper than the already 60% off that they were before, so that was an added bonus. I feel like a good mom seeing them in their coats now. Makes a difference. Also, the shoes! We had a fun trip to the mall together, and learned a lot about patience and shopping and patience. Hopefully we get more opportunities to practice. 1-5-18
BASKETBALL
Basketball is back in full swing again. We've got Brad, Luke and Noah all going at once. Makes for a lot of fun on Saturday! I just love watching them play. I could really do it all day. And we did! All of their first games were really good. Can't wait to see what they do this season! 1-6-18
