For Charity's party she wanted to go to a movie and out to dinner with some of her friends. We decided to call it a "Girls Night Out". The girls were SOOOOOOO hyper, as was expected, but it was just INSANE! We had a great time though. When they got to our house Charity wanted to show off her camera and take pictures of everyone. They did that for about 10 minutes and then we left for the movie.
I thought 10 girls would be enough to keep track of, so I didn't bring my camera with me. I'm hoping Charity will let me steal some of the pictures she took while we were out. She took a LOT!
We went to Yogi Bear in 3D, the girls seemed to like it. Then over to Wingers for dinner. I don't think I will ever take 10 little girls to Wingers ever again (or any restaurant for that matter) but it really was a LOT of fun! And we didn't even get kicked out :).... we actually had a really amazing waitress who made it quite pleasant. She really made us feel like we weren't the headache that we actually were :) Fun stuff though. And thanks to Sarah for babysitting, and Heidi for joining us to help drive!! It was a group effort :) but we did it!! Oh, and Nate for putting up with being the only guy on our Girls Night. He's a good sport.
Charity did this game where whoever keeps their balloon up the longest gets to be the first one to give Charity their present, and the second longest is second and so on. Kinda cute, but she's really just in charge so I didn't have a say really :)... the girls loved it, they were very noisy and seemed to be having the time of their lives.
Charity picked out this popcorn cake off the internet, it was actually just a 2 dimensional one in the picture, out of a 13 x 9 inch cake, it was cute, but then I got this dumb idea to make it round and having it be 3 dimensional.... it worked out okay and the girls were really cute about it, Charity thought it went perfectly with the movie theme. It was funny though because they had all overloaded on popcorn at the movie, then ate a little at Wingers so by the time we got home, they were ALL popcorned out!! It was hilarious actually. The popcorn was lemon flavored at least, so some of them ventured out to try it, but overall, there wasn't much popcorn eatin' at our house :) Just in case I ever want to do this again, I don't think I'll do the round one, and if I do, I will scoop out the top so that the popcorn can rest inside, it kept falling off and really didn't look like it was "in" a popcorn bucket. And it was too heavy so the cake was all smushed by the end of the night. But anyway- doesn't really matter. It's a cake. I'm not a professional. It worked.
rockin' out to "Happy Birthday"
She really got into the present opening. She made it really exciting for the guests :) She was throwing paper and tissue paper and just whatever she could up in the air, dancing around, laughing, they all got into it, it was funny. I kept thinking "why did we go to a movie when we could have just had Charity entertain us all".... fun stuff.
Another one with all the girls... I'm hoping to let Charity give her firiends all a copy of the pictures I took of her with each one as the thank you card.... saw that idea somewhere..... it's all a matter of thinking about it I guess....
Anyway, there ya have it. I'm hoping to add more later. Hopefully they all had fun. And if they didn't.... TOO BAD :) Just kidding.
