"You are not here to live a mediocre to average life; you are here to live an amazing life, a miraculous life. If it weren't for your challenges, there would be no miracles. You must do that which seems impossible, for it is only in the impossible that miracles are had." - author unknown, but very respected

Things to Remember Week of 11-23-14

MOVING
We got to help Heidi move into John's apartment on Monday.  That was exciting!  Took us three hours to load the truck at Heidi's and only 50 minutes to unload at John's :).  Kinda funny.  It was fun to spend time with Heidi and John, so happy and excited to be at that point.  They bought us Taco Bell for lunch and gave us Heidi's mattresses, that was a nice little added bonus!  It was a fun day.  11-24-14

THE KIRSCHBAUMS
On Wednesday night Heidi and John stopped by on their way up to Idaho.  All we really did was sit and visit, but it was a nice time.  The kids LIVE to see them, so really it was a highlight of our week!  11-26-14

STEVE
I got to take Steve to work on Friday.  It was so nice to be doing a favor for him.  I only wish he hadn't given me $5 and then told me how much he hated that I never paid him when he did favors for me.  Kinda tainted things a bit.  But oh well.  I was glad to spent the time with him anyway.  Don't get much of that anymore.  11-28-14

COOKIE PARTY
Aunt Jen did her traditional Cookie Party on Saturday this year.  The kids had a good time.  She did things a little differently this time, less organized play and more service, so the kids grumbled a little, but we knocked some sense into them on the way home and had to have a talk about manners when people do nice things for us.  It was a worthwhile experience.
Nate, Jack and I took ourselves out to dinner, at Red Robin after doing some window shopping.  It was a nice evening.  Nice break from the norm, and a good time together.  I only wish it could have ended better.  Nate and I both got pretty sick, I was throwing up like a crazy person that night- I seriously don't remember the last time I threw up that much!  And Nate, too, spent a lot of time in the bathroom.  Not the best way to end the night, but we lived.  We lived to receive the vouchers Red Robin sent us after my calling to find out if they'd had any complaints of food poisoning.  Kinda nice, although, I'm not sure I want to go to Red Robin again any time soon.  11-29-14
