John texted me Monday to see if we could have a party for Heidi at our house--- of course!! John wanted a Trump/Republican Elephant cake, so I got this great elaborate plan to make a cake shaped like an elephant (two dimensional, not standing up of course), with the red white and blue as it is with the words Trump 2016 on it. Unfortunately, my day got away from me with the produce truck being late and all the extra hooplah with kids at school. I had to settle on an Oreo cake with just the design piped on top. Kind of anti-climactic for me, but I guess Heidi really liked it :). I'm glad. She wanted a dance party and we hardly delivered. But we did manage to get a nice Trump convo going. I am so impressed with how much she knows about him and all of her research on all the other candidates as well. She's awesome. I always know who to go to when I have political questions. I'm all for Trump being elected- I really think it would be interesting to see what all he accomplishes. I do think a business man would be ideal. We'll see how it goes! Anyway- I hope Heidi had a fun time and felt spoiled :). HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN THREE DAYS HEIDI!! 10-20-15
Missed the actual moment of her blowing out the candles. And what is up with the cake on this side?!! sheesh! It did look nice when I made it! Must have melted a little or something. Oreo cake though- can't go wrong!
