- Wednesday, 8-11-10, bad day. I woke up in a good mood, but it was gone in a matter of minutes and then for some reason I couldn't get myself out of it the rest of the day. I felt like crap emotionally. Too many reasons to list. But I managed to drag myself out of the house to do the grocery shopping, some school clothes shopping (one store, good, but not good enough), and then to the park to play in the water. My sweet husband met us there, and did what he does to make things seem all better. By the time I had done my Visiting Teaching and dinner, I was all better. It was nice to get the laundry done and some cleaning up before going to bed. I had the kids' job charts all set and ready to go for the next day, and that felt really good. Then Nate and I just talked for a couple of hours. Good ending to a bad day. Let's don't have any more of those bad days though!!! I hate those!
- Thursday, 8-12-10, good day! Lots of reasons :) I'm just happy though, thought I should document it :)
- Thursday Night was Charity and my Date night. We went to see the movie Cats and Dogs 2. We had such a good time!! We were the ONLY ONES in that matinee showing, so that made it even more special! It was a good movie, but wouldn't have been without cute Charity's little comments :) I love that girl. We had a little adventure coming home, we ran out of gas. Luckily I had known we were low, so I was on my way to the gas station and ended up only a block away from it. It was pretty fun to have something so "crazy" happen on our date. We decided it happened so that it was something that would stand out in our memory and we would never forget our date.
-Friday I cut the boys' hair so that they would look nice for the wedding and I realzied how good we're all getting at it. They sit still for the most part, and I'm kind of getting better I think :). The cute thing though, was that Noah was BEGGING me to give him a hair cut too.... he's so cute about it! He calls his hair his "haircut" so he's pretty into it. I couldn't believe how much hair he had when I was cutting it. It's hard for me to tell how long it is until I'm chopping it off. And then I get sad about it :) HA!
- Friday we got to meet Simon's daughters Heidi and Amanda and Amanda's friend Jessica. I was stressing about having my kids at the restaurant for the eating part since it was later in the afternoon, so we just kinda popped in at the end, but it was really nice. I feel really good after having met them, they were very sweet. They kept quizzing each other on my kids' names which was just very sweet of them to care. I like to not feel like my kids are in the way and overwhelming to other people. It'll be nice to have the wedding tomorrow and move on from this part.... it's been a long engagement for me apparently :)
- also on Friday Nate and I got to go to the temple for the first time in a while. I loved it. It was neat to have so many going through for themselves right there with us. Brought back a lot of the feelings I had back when I went for the first time. I love the temple and everything about it. I kept thinking about my kids and wishing they could be there with us, but looking forward to the day when they are. That will be neat. One of the good things about them getting older that I have to hang on to while I'm watching them grow so fast. I thought a lot about Nana too. I miss her, I want her to know that I am thinking about her and getting her work done soon. We're coming up on the anniversary here and I think that will be a neat experience, hopefully everyone agrees :)
- Tonight 8-15-10 we had Brent, Sarah, Charlie, and Heidi over with Grandpa, Steve and us for dinner. It was so much fun!! We couldn't even stop talking to say the prayer at first we all just sat around the warm food just chit chatting.... kinda funny. Felt like the good ol' days when we would have Sunday dinners together. It was a lot of fun for me :) Then we watched old home videos afterward. Good times. Hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did.
