"You are not here to live a mediocre to average life; you are here to live an amazing life, a miraculous life. If it weren't for your challenges, there would be no miracles. You must do that which seems impossible, for it is only in the impossible that miracles are had." - author unknown, but very respected

It happened again!

Yeah, so apparently we passed the 10th of September already.  Who knew.  I can't believe she's 10 months!  She's REALLY 10 months this time.  Gees.  She's just growing up so fast for me.  She was sick the last week or so with throwing up and then now she's got some kind of cold, and she is just the sweetest little sick baby.  It was almost hard for me to want her to get better because she was just so cuddly.  Erika's got a few more teeth, she's crawling around like a pro now, and can actually stand all by herself when she really wants to (which isn't very often).  I was thinking she'd pick up walking soon, but given her dependent nature, it might be a little longer than I thought :)  She likes being carried around.  Lucky for her there are plenty of takers.  She's still eating pretty well.  Not as good as before, but hey, she still eats more than Noah, so I'll take it.  She only likes food she can hold and feed herself.  No spoons.  No pureed food.  She's still very leery of strangers.... and people she sees a lot too for that matter :)  She just loves her Mommy :)  She's been interested in books lately.  And she LOVES music!  Whenever she's unhappy, Daddy just sits in the rocking chair pulls up some fun songs on the computer, and she usually at least calms down if she doesn't fall asleep.  It's cute.  Luke sings I Am A Child Of God to her and that works too :).  She seems to understand a lot of what we say.  When I mention someone's name, she looks at them.  It's amazing how much a little baby can grasp!  She's not talking a whole lot, but really, how could she?  It's amazing she does anything with these five older sibs around.  She is really a doll.  Still the most popular girl at our ho use.  And still just such a sweet little  princess.  What would our world be without her!

Ok, I'll take the hint. I can't believe how big she is and i haven't even seen her!! ahhh! She sounds a lot like Whitney, I bet they would be pals. Whitney also will not take "baby" food anymore and took her stubborn time walking. She is also a dancer, it's hilarious. Anyways, we miss you...come visit ASAP. hugs from Monticello.

Hey mom. I love this little paragraph you put about Erika! You were right about Erika being a little doll.
