- I love how Lukey says, "That's awkwuhd" (awkward with a 5 year old accent). Generally he knows the right times to say it, but when he says it when it's not so accurate, it makes me laugh :)
- This morning, Lukey didn't wake up before everyone else like usual, and as we were sitting down to eat breakfast I said, "Where's Luke?" I got blank stares and then realized that he hadn't waken up yet. I was kind of glad because for the last few days he's had the hugest bags under his eyes that I think he's needing more sleep. But after I said, "Oh, he must still be asleep, how nice!" I heard this cute little voice coming from his bedroom. We sat there and giggled for a few minutes and wondered if he was doing it in his sleep. Charity was so intrigued that she jumped up and went in there. Come to find out, he had been pretending that the big half of the plastic egg was the Mom, and the little half was the baby and he was acting things out with them. This is a happy thought because he NEVER plays pretend. He is a very "real" person, and he only appreciates what is real. So it was a new one :) Made me laugh even more because he was still in his bed.... he never does that either :) Then he got dressed on his own too! Which, again, he never does..... it was a new morning for Lukey :) and that made me happy :)
- Erika's tight, squeezy hugs.
- Having a laundry shoot makes me happy. I love that I can have an empty laundry room for a couple of days a week (while it builds up in the laundry shoot, before I need to sort them). Definitely a plus.
- Pulling out the Summer clothes and realizing that we have more than I thought we did :). And feeling like I actually CAN take them out now that the sun is up! The sun always makes a huge difference for me. Time to come out of hibernation!!!
- Brad did a cute little treasure hunt for Erika this morning. She didn't really have a clue what was going on, but she sure loved his attention. And he didn't seem to care that she was freaking out every two seconds (for whatever reason it was that she has felt the need to whine and complain about EVERYTHING for the last few days). It's so fun to watch kids serve each other. Nothing like it (if I can possibly say that again :) ),
- Kelly wanted to ride with me in the car instead of with her friends on the bus! I convinced her that she would have more fun, but so sweet of her to want to be with me. We did ride together on the way back since she wanted to listen to the radio :). I thought it was nice though. Made me feel like an okay mom at the moment :).
- Finishing Charity's Marionette puppet felt pretty good. I have to say, it turned out VERY cute! Too bad we forgot to get a picture..... later I guess.
