The largest tree with lights. They only put lights on this tree every other year. Has 75,000 lights!
THE TRAIN AND HOT CHOCOLATE! (Oh and Temple Square lights too)
Wednesday night was THE ONLY night we could squeeze in our trip to SL to see the Temple Square lights this year. We had really wanted to take the train like we did last year and make a whole big outing out of it. So we did! We had the same problem as last year, got to Station Park a little later than planned and almost too late. I think if we'd really wanted to, we would have been able to get right on, but in the interest of sanity and pleasure, we decided to take our time getting out of the car and just catch the next train in 20 minutes. No biggie. It was SUCH a COLD night (20 degrees!) we needed the time to make sure we were all bundled up just right. The train ride is a favorite of everyone's. It was especially fun to watch Jack enjoying it this time. Knowing what was going on and such. We got off at the Central stop this time, got right on the "blue line" and it took us right to the southwest corner of temple square! Right next to JB's actually which is where we were planning to have our hot chocolate later (according to "tradition" :) ). We headed right to the south visitor's center, for bathrooms and warming up and then back out to see the lights. We made the loop up to our spot, and quickly made our way back down through the north entrance again, and into the north visitor's center. It was all we could do to stay warm. Not the best night to go obviously. We looked around downstairs and then decided we wanted to hurry and pass out some of our homeless people bags and then get some hot chocolate. It was funny to hear the kids asking when we could the whole time. They really don't care about the lights I decided. It's all about the train and the hot chocolate. We did end up getting some hot chocolate and fries, then caught our blue line back to the train and then home. It was a lot of fun. No hang ups thank goodness- the cold was enough! Everyone seemed to have a good time! I have not seen Nate that cold before. Poor guy was not loving that. I'm really glad the kids all have snow pants this year, everyone stayed warm enough. Cute little Molly surprised us all by sleeping almost the entire time, in the sling. She only cried during the 15 minute wait at the first train and then for a few minutes on the way home, just before getting off the last train! She must have been warm enough, YAY! Jack stayed very entertained and walked most of the time. Nate did have to carry him a little. Everyone else had a great time! It was a nice trip. 12-30-15

It's always fun to see what the kids take pictures of when they have the camera. Bradley got some really good ones.. all of our favorite things.
