Bear Lake for the Day

This picture is too cool.

My Dad needed us to tow some furniture up to his new place in Bear Lake.  We had planned on staying overnight, but things came up that made it so we couldn't.  So we decided to make the most of it and invited Nate's mom to come up with us.  We made a whole day of it.  Stopped at a little shop for some Raspberry shakes, went over to Rendezvous beach (after the huge crowds had left which was super nice), and played in the shaded sand.  I really enjoyed that time of day there.  Usually we're packing up to leave at that time.  It was different without the jet skis and kayaks, but the kids didn't seem to notice.  Nate and his mom visited most of the time.  Kelly and I sat and talked cameras.  She's getting really good at using my old camera and even shooting in manual!  Everyone else just played their little hearts out.

The lighting was seriously the best!

I got these bird pics for Molly.  She LOVES birds.  Which is totally awesome considering.

yep, now I wish we'd gotten one with me :(.  Cute though :).  I have the best family!

After the beach we went up to my Dad's new place.  Got the tour- it's amazing!  I love the windows, the open feel and all the light.  They showed off their new toys- the cool new table, the grill, the couch... lots of fun :).  We quickly realized that a lot of the decisions they made while purchasing a place and furnishing it were based on us!  So thoughtful.  And yet so much pressure :).  It's a great place though, I can't wait to stay and make lots of fun memories there.  We had to go against their will to get home.  We didn't drop Nate's mom off until midnight!  I will never forget the car rides though- it was fun for the kids to show off their songs and fun games to their grandma.  I think she had a good time too.  Maybe a nice change of scenery.  8-4-17
