I insisted that we take a detour out of the city to pass by the Newport Beach Temple. We had missed it last time we were in CA, I didn't want to miss it again. It was only a few minutes out of the way. When we got there, we were hit with a road closure right in front of the temple so we had to park at a nearby park and walk over and then we were hit with a locked gate when we finally got there. It was closed for cleaning. Of course. I stuck my camera in through the gate to get some pictures, and then we left :). It was so beautiful! And of course the Spirit is so strong! I LOVE the look of this temple! It's so different! Very fitting for the area. I was glad we got to see it.
So the drive home went by really fast! I was surprised at how fast it felt. The kdis did great! We only stopped about a million times every time Jack's pee was "going come out!"
I did take a LOT of the time to do a little questionnaire. This is a tradition that I almost abandoned, but Bradley requested it, so then I got all excited that it was something he likes too :). I found some new questions this time ( I had help with Molly and some of Jack's) and I didn't go in any particular order- I just took their answers as they came flying at me :) :

3. What are your goals for this school year?
Brad- Get a 4.0

Erika- Mom. Telling me the answer to my question.

12. What does failure mean to you? Have you ever felt like a failure? How did you cope?
Luke- Not succeeding. When I didn't do my best. By realizing it wasn't too bad and that I can try again.
Kelly- giving up. Yes, at those first few lacrosse practices. I kept going back.
Jack- I don't know. No.
Charity- Not trying your hardest. Didn't pass AP test. I cried.
Molly- Not getting what you want. All the time. Cry.
Erika- mess up and give up. On my pretest everybody can tell what they did wrong. Talking to myself in my head saying that it's just a pretest.
Noah- doing something wrong and don't try again. When everyone starts bragging about themselves. I think of all the things I'm good at too.
Brad- giving up. When I was playing basketball horribly. Started practicing.
Nate- stop trying to be better. When I struggled so much through the D sides. Kept trying.
Me- Giving up. Pretty much everyday as a mom. I try to repent daily and pump myself up for the next day.
13. How can you tell that you are getting angry? What are you thinking?
Noah- When I start getting super hot. I wanna punch the person closest to me.
Erika- I get thirsty and hot. But Noah.
Molly- I start screaming. Not thinking.
Charity- I want to cry. I want to get even.

Kelly- I get frustrated and super clenched. Why they're making me mad.

Erika- Mrs. Burns said that it's better to not practice cursive now because if someone teaches you wrong you'll learn it the wrong way. Yes.
