We had a great first day of school!! I was so happy when I woke up to my alarm that morning! It's been a long couple of months of me not being able to get up til 6:30 or 7:00, that I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do it! I'm really grateful for all the sleeping in I got to do this summer now and am happy we can get back to our old routine :).
Everyone was super excited and got ready real quick. The Elementary kids sat around for a goo 45 minutes after getting ready way early. So that was fun. I love the calm, relaxed mornings we have these days. I think we deserve them :).
So Charity goes at 7:15 now- we learned on the first day that we need to leave at 7:15 and not 7:25. Live and learn... on our guinea pig :). She's a SOPHOMORE this year!!! Can't believe it. She was probably the most excited (vocally at least) to go to school this year. And so far she loves it! I'm excited for her to have my old AP Psych teacher! She's going to love that class! And we can't wait for the musical, Charity made it into the Chorus. Doing big things and going places, this girl! So fun! First day of High School- check!
Kelly is less vocal, but I think she was a little excited to be a 9th grader. Or at least to wear this cute comfy shirt she bought a couple days before. She is growing up too!! I was so excited when I remembered she was going to be starting Seminary this year!! That's pretty cool. So far she loves it. We'll see how the two AP classes treat her and if her homework locks her up in the tower 24/7. Big Niney-Whiny for the win!!
Bradley was very nervous for 7th grade, but I think he was also a little excited. And now that it's not unknown anymore- he's all set. He rocked his first day, especially getting on Mrs. McCarrey's good side from day one. I couldn't be happier about that. He sure has a lot of good friends this year that I"m happy for him to be hanging out with and carpooling with. Good friends for my little Sevie.
Luke is a big 6th grader this year!! Hard to believe one of my babies is king of the school. He was happy he got Mrs. Downs, we'll who am I kidding, we all were. He's going to rule the school this year! Can't wait to see how it goes.
Noah is our big 4th grader this year! Which also kind of blows my mind- he's in the UPPER grades! Even he couldn't believe it :). Once we got over not having Mr. Flynn- he was excited for school :). And so far Mrs. Olson is a win! We love that she doesn't do homework! Wahoo!
Erika is in 2nd grade this year with Mrs. Turnbow. She came home overjoyed that Mrs. Turnbow is "super not strict" and "not strict at all!" I think she's already healing the ulcer last year caused :). Just kidding. But it's been fun to hear about all the fun things Mrs. Turnbow teaches them- like smiley faces on her 100% :). So cool.
Not sure how this one got in here :). But he looks awesome.
This is my new favorite picture of Jack. Everyone was holding up the number of their grade, and when I suggested a big zero with his hand he had a better idea. Looks like a K :). He loved his first day! He seems so happy and confident from it as well. I'm excited for him to experience some new things on his own.
All four of the Elementary kids- wish I'd gotten one with all seven school kids! I can't believe I have seven kids in school. This day came too fast.
