SINGING IN STAKE CONFERENCE
Our ward choir, including Charity, Kelly, Bradley and me, got to sing in Stake Conference! Pretty awesome. I have never been in such a big, fun, good ward choir before. It's been one of the many blessings of the ward change. The only thing I didn't like about this was when Charity and Kelly told me that I was on the screen the ENTIRE time. Which, I know I wasn't on there during President Taylor's talk at the very end, because I could finally see the tv, but how embarrassing. I wondered the whole time, so I guess I kind of knew, but ugh. I loved the talks this time and loved the feeling there. I also loved being able to sit and listen to the ENTIRE meeting! Uninterrupted! I love my kids, of course, but sitting in stake conference is not my favorite thing to do with them. So this was nice to be able to watch them from a safe distance :). Nate was awesome to sit with them the whole time, taking Molly out on all her little drink breaks, and being late to work so that we could do that. 11-12-17
FAMILY MEETING
We got to go up to Grandma Ruthie's for the family meeting this week. It is always a good time for the kids with their cousins. Molly was a pill, so she and I went out on the porch and fortunately, Lynn and Ali were out there because of River's tantrums, so I got to sit and talk with them for a few minutes! Rare. I'm glad we belong to such a cool family. 11-12-17
ONCE ON THIS ISLAND
We all got to go and see Charity's play for FHE this week! (After I frantically drove Molly and Jack down to Grandma Hatch's house and picked up the ceramics the girls made at Erika's party) We had awesome seats and could see her really well the whole show! She was on the stage almost the whole time! Very cool! It was so much fun to see all her hard work pay off. The kids all loved it. The favorite part was Timoon's dance. Well, besides all of Charity's fun dancing and singing. They really did a great job! I was so impressed with the singing ability! Fun stuff. I felt pretty cool sitting down to watch my daughter in the Davis High musical. VERY cool! Proud moment. She also got to perform for Grandma Ruthie and Jen on Thursday night, Grandma Hatch, Heidi and John on Friday night, and Grandpa Hatch and Dawn on Saturday afternoon! Then again, on Saturday night, Erika, Noah and I got to see it for the second time to surprise Charity! It was so sad at the very end to see everyone crying!! They really put so much into that and I'm sure it's sad to see it end. 11-13-17
PRODUCE
Thanks to Charity and Facebook, we got 6 new produce-ers. This week I felt a little pressure to make it awesome for the newbies. Turned out to be pretty good. I LOVE doing produce in my garage! Besides that it gets me to clean it- I don't have to go over to the Clark's! 11-14-17
DIANE AND DEBBIE
We planned kind of a last minute lunch to Costa Vida this week! It was such a nice time. It really lifted my spirits. I've had a few little rough patches lately with my period and everything, but when I got home from this lunch, I felt somewhat rejuvenated! It was sad to hear about Diane's daughter, but I just love those two- funniest combination of lunch friends ever :). Molly was awesome and Jack was at Liam's thanks to Jami. Fun afternoon. 11-14-17
INTRAMURALS
Brad started basketball intramurals this week. It was fun to hear about it. He is such a funny kid and has such a good mix of confidence and humility :). Makes me laugh sometimes. I love that he decided to be on the "co-ed team" rather than the other one. Cute boy. 11-15-17
ACTIVITY DAYS
Erika got to go to her first Activity days activity! I so can't believe she is old enough to do that! This was one of those things I hadn't really thought about that she was going to be starting! Sort of snuck up on me. She loved it! They did a lot of fun stuff and she felt pretty awesome doing it :). I think she was a little shy, but so cool that she gets to be part of all that. 11-15-17
WARD PIE NIGHT
Ward Pie night was a success! The kids had been looking forward to it and of course had lots of yummy pie and then played their little hearts out (minus Jack who decided it was more fun to sit by me and beg to go home than to play with all his friends who were all running around together!). I had been looking forward to this because I had planned to make Austin's yummy treat bars in pie form and it was going to be my cheat meal :). I was so excited! Turned out to be even better than I had imagined! I got to sit and talk with Emily and hear about her trip to Harry Potter World. Good stuff!! I just wish Nate had been able to come. He had maxed out on Molly earlier on and she wound up in bed. Nate had had it so he stayed home to cool off as well. He was doing his no sugar thing anyway so pie night may have been more of a frustration for him. But we brought some home to him anyway and it all worked out :). Good times. 11-15-17
TEMPLE WITH NATE, KELLY AND BRAD
We FINALLY got our temple trip in. It was a bummer that Charity couldn't come because she was doing her play, but it was nice to finally go! The temple was basically empty the whole time we were there! We'll have to remember that about Thursday afternoon! We had a list of names I had found of our own family members! WAHOO!!! so we were able to do those. I LOVE being in the temple and with my cute family. Such a beautiful spirit! We stopped at Costa Vida on our way home (yep, twice in one week- the only food I could eat during my 15 day challenge round 2). 11-16-17
LUKE THE BABYSITTER
So earlier this week, when I was taking Brad and Kelly to school, I had left Luke in charge. When I got home I walked in the house and was hit with the stench of burning eggs. I had left some eggs in a pan on the stove to cook. Stupid me. When I realized that's what I had done and apologized to the kids, I got the story from a very calm Luke, about how the smoke alarm had gone off and he had turned off the burner and taken the pan off and then used Molly's "B" to fan the smoke alarm whilst she was screaming about him using her "B". All while I was gone. I was shocked and suprised to hear that Luke had had things SO under control! What a cool kid! So it wasn't as surprising that when we got home from the Temple Thursday night we found a very calm, peaceful home, tater tots in the oven (and actually buzzing as we got there- and Luke was putting on oven mitts to get them out all by himself, all responsible-like!), kids all happy and peacefully watching tv. I was SO HAPPY to see how well he had done with the position! He is a GREAT BABYSITTER!! There wasn't any fighting or complaining when we got home, nobody tattled on anyone... it was awesome! I was really impressed. Nice to know we've got another great babysitter on our roster! 11-16-17
DATE NIGHT
We got to go out this week which was awesome! We went to a new sushi place in Centerville (kinda broke ranks there with my 15 day challenge and ate too much sushi), so good! Wish I'd gotten a picture of our plate with the roll on fire! So cool! Then we went and saw Wonder. What a cute, fun movie!! I couldn't help but think about how much Luke was loving the book- he's really going to love the movie! Such a cute show! I think I want to read the book now. 11-17-17
THE DRAFT
Brad's been very anxious and excited for his basketball draft! He got to go this morning and seemed to have a great time! 11-18-17
DEEP CLEAN
We did the game room today. Oh how I wish we could just keep our house clean! But I am glad that we can all work together on a project and get things done. Looks nice! 11-18-17
