I wanted to be sure to be at the school when it got out to get pictures of my cute girls with their teachers and friends. It was a lot of fun. I loved their cute faces when they saw me and knew that we were going to get pictures of everyone. They're so cute with their friends. I can't believe how social my two little girls are. I love it!
Kelly promptly made her way over to the railings to swing on them with Canon. She really likes a few of the boys in her class. She talks about them nonstop. I don't quite know how to handle the boy/girl stuff yet. Especially with a first grader!!!!! But she sure was happy to have a picture of them, and well, just look at her face in this picture!!! SO CUTE!!! I like Canon the best. He's so adorable!! He was really fun too, asking to hold Erika and playing peek-a-boo with her when someone else was holding her. I love it!! What fun kids.
Kelly looks beautiful in this picture I think. So grown up. And I am still laughing about how she let Charity and Canon (just the two of them) sign her shirt. right on the front and center. what a crazy girl. I'm just glad it was a white t-shirt!
Here are the girls.... I need to ask Kelly the name of the one on the left, but that's Natalie and Olivia on the right.
Mrs. Cottrel, what a sweet teacher she was!!! Kelly will miss her. "She never yells." Amazing.
And of course the boys. Brady, Canon, Brooks, and someone I don't know. Kelly says that boys don't have cooties. I think we're in trouble.
Okay, but he is so dang cute!!! CUTE kid.
These boys were more excited to hold and "pet" the baby than the girls..... does that seem strange to anyone else?
It's cute that Kelly likes to show off her little sis so much.
And finally Charity caught up with us! Here she is with Hayley, Kiara and Suzie. She loves these girls. No matter how much they all fight. And I can't believe how much drama went on this year..... can't WAIT till High School.
Oh this picture makes me want to cry!!! I'M going to miss Mrs. Owen if Charity doesn't! Which she will. They were like a couple of good friends. Mrs. Owen says, "we get each other". I love that she knew Charity and worked so well with her. They really were a good couple. Kinda made for each other. I love that. Hopefully she will get lucky again.
So after the flag ceremony and the official ending of the school day, we got in the car to go to ice cream. Well, Charity had been invited to an ice cream party at the park, so she struggled with the decision to go there and not with us, but we dropped her off at her party. Went to Dairy Queen and the kids were so bummed that Charity didn't stick with us, we just took our ice cream back up to the park to be with her. They were so sweet about it.... makes me happy that they feel that way. I got my yummy frozen hot chocolate (very worth mentioning, just in case you were wondering!)
a lot of the girls' friends were there so we got some more pictures. Here's Kelly with Sariah.
I couldn't resist taking second by second shots of Noah eating his ice cream cone.... I was laughing so hard!! He sure knows how to put away a melting ice cream cone.
Kelly needed me to take some pictures of her on the monkey bars. It's a sick thing, these kids' obsession with the monkey bars.... and it continues yet another year :).... I love their enthusiasm really.
Here's Charity and the beloved Belle. I think Belle's my favorite of her friends. She's the nicest :) And they get along the best I think. Good friends. We'll be meeting them at the park this summer!
Cute Brad talked a lot about what HE will do on his first last day of school :) He's so anxious
Many of you will be happy to know, I bought us a little jug to just have ready with cold water to take to the park! No more thirsty kids that need to mooch water off of other people!!! YAY!!
This funny little lady wanted to hold Erika. At first I was startled and wasn't sure if I wanted to let a stranger hold her, but I figured it was fine...... Then I took a bunch of pictures of her holding my baby so that if she somehow got away with her I'd have a way to identify her..... HA! I actually do think like that!! Funny huh. Erika wasn't so sure of her either...... until she saw her necklaces!!!!
The upsidedown one is my favorite... he has some pretty cute eyes.
And then we came home and crashed with Grandpa and the wii. What a big day!!! I can't believe my girls have made it through yet another year of school!!! I am going to have a 3rd grader next year!!!! And two more in school!!!!! Blows my mind. I need to stop thinking about it! Until August anyway! Summer is going to be really great this year. We've got all kinds of plans. Hopefully we can pull it all off, and really make it fun for everyone. Gotta make the most of it!!
