We all got together at Grandma Hatch's house to celebrate Savannah's birthday! She is so adorable. It was so much fun to see the Hatches again and spend that time with her! She's such a cutie!!
SCHOOL SHOPPING
This year we took everyone together! Not sure if I want to do that again. We got almost everything in one day though, so that was nice! Everyone survived! 8-20-18
FHE
For Family Night we I gave a short lesson on the Priesthood, just a reminder of where Father's Blessings come from and then we all got a blessing to help us start out the new school year. I love this tradition. I love hearing what Heavenly Father wants my kids to hear. I wish I could write it all down or record it or something. I hope that they can remember some of the things that were said. I love that Spirit. We had brownies for the treat. 8-20-18
BACK TO SCHOOL KJH
I went with Luke, Nate with Brad and we tackled the evening! I wish they didn't have to do this the day before school starts- it's our LAST EVENING with our family, but I think it was a really useful thing for Luke. He was able to see how it was going to go with his classes and where they were- their day at the school Monday wasn't as productive as I had imagined it had been. It was fun to see Luke's reaction to it all. I think this is going to be a good year for him! I'm excited about a lot of his classes and for the whole experience for him. I'm sure Brad had a good night too :). He's a pro now, so not too much to surprise him. Hopefully this is a better year for him as well. 8-21-18
BACK TO SCHOOL COLUMBIA
So while Nate and the kids were at the market (some at home), I went to Back to school night at the Elementary school. This is not my favorite night. It is good to get a feel for teachers and see the classroom and overall pretty informative, but I don't love it. I am however, very excited about our teachers this year. I think we will have a great year! I signed up to be room mom in a couple classes and signed up for parties and stuff- I'm super excited to be back in the classrooms helping again. I loved Jack's picture he made of himself- so cute!
