FHE WITH THE NYBO'S
The Nybo's invited us over for Family Night this week! So much fun! We got to sit and talk with them before and then Cathie gave a short lesson about the new reinforcement of the name of The Church. They had brownies for the treat. It was so much fun! I loved talking with Mike and Cathie. They are so cool. They have such a neat family. We figure we're about 10 years behind them. It's hard to believe that in a few years we will have kids moving out and going to college. I need to glean some of their wisdom from them. The kids had a lot of fun with Tony, Molly and Audrey. I guess we were on Audrey's bucket list for before she left for school :). The kids showed off their little handshakes with Molly (our Molly), that was fun. It was a lot of fun to just be with them. Made me want to do stuff like that more often with people in the ward. 8-27-18
MORE BLOOD WORK
I went to the doctor on Tuesday to have some more blood work done. I just need some answers. Molly was cute to come with me and sat there so patiently through all of it! I was so relieved by that. And wouldn't you know it- I am going to have to wait forever again for the results because the Doc is going out of town for Labor day. It was like deja vu when the nurse told me this- same nurse, exact same, "You might not get your results for a couple of weeks since the doctor will be going out of town for the holiday..." bla bla bla. UGH. Not sure how I ended up with the party doctor. Or why I choose holiday weekends to get blood work done. Either way. Hopefully this will show something about my iron and maybe more with the Keto. Who knows. I would like to eliminate the dizziness I guess. I did learn that my iron pills are full of sugar and maltodextrin which is REALLY unfortunate since I've been taking them everyday! So that's lame. We'll see how this goes. 8-28-18
GRANDMA FOR JACK
Grandma Hatch didn't come to Bear Lake, but she still wanted to celebrate with him, so she came over to our house Tuesday to spoil him with gifts and attention. He loved the Power Ranger and has been working on the same picture on his tracing thing all week. It's really cute. I think that meant a lot to him. 8-28-18
LUKE'S BOOSTER SHOT
I have never seen Luke so nervous. And I've seen him pretty nervous. He had really built up the anxiety about this shot though. I felt so bad! Wouldn't hardly talk all the way there and seemed really annoyed any time I tried. Luckily it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be and he was able to beg for ice cream very soon after :). He didn't cry, so... He's a good kid. I thought about him overcoming this fear when I went to my DGL Parent meeting that night. If Luke can do this hard thing, I can do mine. Love that kid. 8-28-18
DGL BOARD MEETING
So almost nobody showed up. We made all sorts of big decisions about the team, including cancelling the Boise tournament for one in Sandy, new uniforms, a sponsor banner... lots of fun stuff. So I guess I am liking it? I only hate sending out the stupid emails after the meetings and acting like I know what I'm doing. But whatever. I think this is good for me. 8-28-18
WEEDS
I finally took care of all the weeds in our yard! Miraculously it only took a few hours ;). Kelly came out and kept me company which was nice and then when Nate got home he joined in. It was a lot of work, but I'm so glad we got it taken care of- til next week I guess :). 8-29-18
I don't know why I like this picture so much- These two just lying down next to each other, looking at whatever on her phone, next to the little potty :). Who wouldn't like it :). 8-29-18
LACROSSE PARENT PLAYER MEETING
Kelly got to stay at the market while I went to the parent meeting. Which stinks, but it was fun to think about the upcoming season! I love lacrosse :). 8-30-18
MIA
I completely spaced birthday tables on Friday. Completely stood Jack up. I'm still mad at myself. I HATE missing out on these things and making it so my kid had to choose a friend to sit with. Even if he did have an okay time, I'm so sad I let him down!! And he was super sweet about it and really didn't seem too annoyed, but MAN! My first time with him and I blew it! Luckily, September's is next week, so I made arrangements with Lichelle to go then. We're breaking the rules and I don't care. Just kidding. Ugh. I'm still so mad at myself. 8-31-18
ANNIVERSARY DINNER
Grandma Ruthie invited everyone to Litza's Friday night to celebrate hers and Russ's 50th wedding anniversary! Pretty cool stuff. I hope we last that long!! It was fun to be there with everyone, but just like always- I ended up sitting there entertaining Jack and Molly and hardly said a word to anyone. It's so hard there. But I'm glad Nate was able to make the rounds and visit with his sibs. It is fun to just see everyone. Charity and Nancy were cooking up some pretty fun plans for setting up friends with cousins for dances... fun stuff! Grandma Ruthie and Jen gave Molly their gifts for her birthday the next day. Jen gave her a bank and grandma gave her an Alaskan girl doll and a cute little crocheted purse that doubles as a tiny doll bed! Super cute! Molly felt like a princess :). 8-31-18
Jen gave Molly her olives- I think that made her day :). She dipped them in the ranch one slice at a time and licked off all of her finger tips every single time :). So much fun to watch Molly eat.
