"You are not here to live a mediocre to average life; you are here to live an amazing life, a miraculous life. If it weren't for your challenges, there would be no miracles. Luke's Photo Shoot

Nate and I (and Jack :) ) took Luke down to the Salt Lake Temple to take his 8 year old pictures.  This is a tradition that Sarah started with Charity and I LOVE it!!  We've done the boys' ourselves because I feel like Sarah has enough to do :).  Plus I like the experience, and enjoy doing it.  Anyway- we went to the Salt Lake Temple because that's where Luke wanted to do it.  As I was trying to get him to choose a place, I had said, "You don't have to do it at a temple if you don't want to." and to that he said, "You're just trying to get me to choose somewhere else." :)  So I was SURE this was his idea :).  (I was mostly just trying to make sure he knew it didn't have to be like everybody else's... funny boy)  It was freezing cold and the sun was setting so we were in a bit of a hurry.  But I still felt like it was a fun time for all of us together.  Luke was a trooper, smiled his little face off!  Even froze his smile a few times :).  He was good at trying whatever poses we told him to do.  He was SO CUTE!!  He really is a handsome little boy.  I don't know what we're going to do when he gets older... have to lock him in a tower or something :) far away from all the girls :).  I'm kidding.  He's too much of a sweetheart to deprive the world of him :).  SO anyway- here are some of his pictures- in no particular order:
This was the very first pose we took and it turned out to be my favorite!  Thanks to Nate we got him from the right angle.  Love it!

He liked seeing his tooth gap in these :)

So handsome.

This was his favorite one because it had the temple :).  He wanted to make sure I had a temple one on his invite!

I liked how his invites turned out.  Not to brag, but I feel like I did a good job :).  Only took me about two hours to figure out the stupid program again.  I need to practice this stuff more often I decided.  Anyone need a photo collage of this sort?

Daddy taught him to button his suit when he's standing and unbutton when he's sitting and he did it almost everytime!!  It was adorable!  I wanted to have a picture of him in action :)

LOVE THIS FACE!!!

and of course this beautiful picture is crooked... rats.  Have to fix that I guess.

After pictures, we went over to City Creek for some food.  The cute teenager at Chik-fil-a couldn't get enough of Lukey :).  She kept saying how cute he was and well, he was in a suit... need I say more? :).  It totally felt like she was flirting with him :).  Made me laugh.  Just a glimpse into Luke's future...

He wouldn't try the sushi, but it was a fun dinner.  It's been a lot of fun to spend so much one on one (or two on one and a half :) ) with Luke lately.  He's such a cool guy.

Thanks to Charity and Kelly for tending!

When I got home I realized I was missing my book club so I raced up the street to catch the rest of it... phew!
