FFF

1. I turned 30 on Friday. That was pretty fabulous. I really love my birthday. I don't know if it's just because I'm so immature, or what, but I loved it. I don't feel any different. And that is fabulous :) Nate really spoiled me with a yummy cake and lots of gifts, especially my new purple vacuum!!! He really does know how to make it a special day for me, even though it really is a day for everyone. Most of my family came over and we had dinner and played games to celebrate too.... that was nice. I enjoyed it.









2. Saturday, Aunt Jen treated us all to "The Princess and the Frog" out at the District. It was SO FUN!! I loved the movie and I think the kids had a great time with their cousins. I LOVE that they all have cousins their age. At the end of the movie, Sydney came over to where Charity, Kelly and Brynn were sitting, and they all got up and gave her a big hug!! They seriously looked SO GROWN UP when they did that, and just like SUCH good friends. It was so sweet. I loved it. Aunt Becky gave us her empty popcorn tub at the end so we could get a refill with it and 90% of it was gone by the time we got to the car..... what can I say, we love popcorn :)









3. Sunday was nice... no singing in front of everyone, no talks, lessons (for me), or prayers.... we got to just relax. And I loved it :) Erika is still learning how church is supposed to be. She hasn't quite figured out that she can't eat the entire time (like she normally does). But during Sacrament Meeting Sister Allen (her new Sacrament Grandma- as she calls herself :) ) held her the entire time, took her out, rocked her to sleep, and brought her back in to hold her some more. It was very nice. To sit there and hold Noah again, like I did before I had Erika, but not be in excrutiating pain from sitting there with one inside me and one on top of me, was definitely fabulous.









4. Monday was my 6-week checkup. Things went well. Everything looks good. I even asked Thackeray what he thought about the possibility (don't get me wrong, we're ready to take a break, and we're not sure we're having more kids, just wanted to know my options) of having more kids, and whether or not he thought that was okay with the c-section aspect of things, and he just looked at me SO FUNNY!!! It was a total "why wouldn't you be able to???" look. Which just STILL surprises me. I can't count how many people can't believe I've had 6 c-sections, so I really wasn't sure he would say that was okay or not. But he assured me that there was nothing medically wrong that would make that a risk at all (and he laughed). He did say that the chances of the placenta attaching to the scar gets greater with each one (which could potentially harm the baby), but we've never had a problem with that in the past, so he said that it wasn't something he would advise against. He thought things would be fine and that he wouldn't say I shouldn't or couldn't. I was pleasantly surprised. Who knows what will happen. I can't say I feel done right now, and feeling "done" is something I would like to feel when it is time to be. But we'll see. It's definitely going to have to be a while. It was just really fabulous news for me..... and Bradley who repeatedly tells me that "our next baby is going to be a boy and we're going to name him Batman".... we'll see. I'm glad everything looked okay at the check up.... chalk it up to more blessings.



5. Also on Monday (wow, I'm already to 5 and it's only Monday! This is bound to be a fabulous week!), we were invited over to the Davies', an older couple in our ward, to have FHE with them. What a pleasure that was!! They are THE SWEETEST people ALIVE!!! And their house was pretty amazing too! The kids were very good all through Nate's lesson. They enjoyed drawing their favorite present on the white board that the Davies had set up. Then we all went downstairs to their game room. Noah and Luke took turns on the train that they can ride. It goes around in a circle about 4 foot in diameter on this little track, and Noah rode it for about a half hour, round and round and round..... you'd think he'd tire of it, but no..... I laughed. The rest of us enjoyed some air hockey, foos ball, ping pong, and BASKETBALL!! They actually have a court in their house. The kids couldn't beleive it :).... Then the kids did a little show on the stage. I loved how Luke bounced into their house saying, "I'm Lukey!" and then proceeded to be mister social the entire evening. And I loved how much I learned from Sister Davies about her cute family. She sure loves her grandkids. It really makes me excited for that time of life (just more than I am.... not that I'm wishing my kids to grow up- NEVER think I'm saying that- k).... just to be able to see what my kids accomplish as well as their kids.... someday. I think Nate enjoyed hearing about Bro. Davies' job in aerospace too.... I just love old people! So much WISDOM just bursting at the seams, all you have to do is ask! What a good time we had though. They were so sweet.

6. On Wednesday I got to hang out with my old friends from the Taylorsville ward. Julie came up from Vegas and we all had a blast.... I don't know what I would do without those friends in my life. They're just priceless. And I got to see Lacie and her cute baby as well. So fun. I need to hang out with them more often. Erika was totally antisocial at McD's and slept the entire time, but it was a much needed break for her mommy who had fed her almost non-stop the entire day before. She was a good girl.

7. On Thursday, my mom and I drove out to Draper with the kids and picked out a really cute dress for Erika's blessing. I'm really excited about it. It's adorable. And it was on sale too!! Can't beat that! We also had a fun New Year's Eve Party here with some friends and my Pappy.... it was way nice to be at home and not have to drive forever after ringing in the new year. We did miss hanging out with the Maynes family this year though. This was the first year (other than the Alaska ones) that we haven't spent it with his family. The kids were slightly disappointed that they didn't get to see their cousins. But it was a nice time. Thanks again Dad and Chris and Stephanie!! Good times.
