FFF

1. Friday night we got free tickets from Sherry and Abe to go see the Uof U Gymnastics meet. I love any opportunity to get out of the house for free :). We had a great time! I was surprised at how well the kids stayed focused on it. I really didn't think they would give it so much attention. There was the occasional beg for snacks, but that's expected. Abe was there with Neva and Hank and he and Nate were in and out pretty much every ten minutes with the next potty break. What good dads. I'm still needing my Sherry fix, but hopefully we can remedy that real soon. Fun night though, and of course, the Ute's won! Charity and Kelly will be doing gymnastics for weeks now. And Charity still wants to take Gymnastics.


2. Try to read this one quietly, I don't want to jinx it. Erika slept all night, two nights in a row!! Makes me so happy :)....


3. On Sunday I got to try out my new calling (it's really only temporary, but when they called me to do Sharing Time I guess it was technically as "Primary Worker" so I can do anything in the Primary) as the Primary Pianist. I realized that even though I knew all the songs back when I had this calling before, 11 years is too many to still remember them and play them as well as I did--- I swear it was just yesterday. Guess I better practice.

4. We also got to view the baby blessing of Sophie Bakke (Erika's BFF). That is always a neat experience. Glad we were invited and could make it.

5. Tuesday we had an amazingly uneventful (in a good way) trip to the Library! This is really bad momish of me, but I do NOT like to take all of my kids to the library at once. So we rarely go. But we went and it was AWESOME!! They all behaved themselves, minded their manners, and followed orders as to how we were going to do things while we were there :). I gave them each a buddy, the older buddy helped the younger buddy pick out 3 books, read the books, and then were able to find their own. Charity, Kelly and Bradley were awesome with this!! Luke remained calm and really.... made less noise than his Uncle Steve! So I was proud! I ended up letting them check out "as many books as they could carry" and we came home with WAY more books than we need :) But it was SO nice. We just might go back for more than just returning these ones.
sidenote: Luke was set on having a bob the builder book, and then after searching and even getting help from the librarian, we were unable to find one. But as soon as he learned there were Curious George books!!!! Well!!!! This was thrilling for him, and he danced with glee as the librarian handed him the 3 yellow, Curious George books :) I thought it was cute :) (I'm not sure why he didn't know that there were curious george books, we do have a couple of them here at home, but whatever it takes to make the little monkey happy ;)

6. Noah learned how to open doors :) And while I would normally consider this a milestone that is less than my favorite, watching him try it over and over, reconfirming to himself that this in fact was not a dream, was priceless. I had to be happy for him :) He was pretty proud of himself too :)

7. Wednesday was a wonderful day! The morning, getting ready routine was pleasant, I smiled a lot, laughed a lot, and read lots and lots of books to my boys :). I got to hold my cute little princess almost nonstop, lots of laundry washed, dishes done, and floors vacuumed. I really couldn't ask for more! Happy day :)

8. Thursday Night was our first Relief Society night, and it was AWESOME!! It was a date night. They had a nice dinner and then Dr. Chidester (a former member of the Stake Presidency and a Marriage and Family Therapist) speak. I LOVED it!! Who doesn't love a helpful little reminder of what we should be doing to strengthen our marriage. I really enjoyed it and want to try all of his advice.
