"You are not here to live a mediocre to average life; you are here to live an amazing life, a miraculous life. If it weren't for your challenges, there would be no miracles. Happy Anniversary!

I can't believe it's really been 17 years!  Kinda blows my mind.  Feels like yesterday.  I couldn't be happier with how our life together has gone.  There's of course been hard times mixed in with the good, but I kind of think the hard times are what make the good times so good.  Wouldn't change any of it!  Kinda crazy to think that I loved him enough to get married to him for all time and eternity 17 years ago and feel like my love for him has grown to a million times stronger!  What's it going to be like in a trillion more?!  I really lucked out finding Nate and tricking him into marrying me.  Best decision I've made yet.  I'm so glad he is so loving and patient with me and hopefully one day I will be deserving of all that he is and does for me and our family.  He really is amazing.  We are all so blessed to have him.  So here's to another 17!!  And hopefully, (if Nate can stand me that long) an eternity on top of that.
I love you, Nate!!!
So to celebrate:
Tuesday is the day we got married, so I was super psyched about our anniversary falling on a Tuesday as well... that is until I realized he would be working the mid!  LAME!  Not to mention all the other things we had going on that night.  As we were going over the calendar during family council, Sunday, we realized there wasn't going to be much celebrating this week.  Which totally bummed Nate out.  That was actually sort of cute that he was all bent out of shape about it.  So huge bummer.  But we tried to make the most of it.
First thing when we woke up, I was the first to wish him a Happy Anniversary :) before he had to leave at for his 6:30 am shift.  Rarely happens that I'm thinking and conscious that early in the morning, but I was :), I now am usually UP before Nate, but rarely thinking and conscious.  I always like to think about our wedding day all day and what we were doing at what times... kinda fun.  The early morning hair appointment that came only a couple hours after finishing the CD's for our reception :).  Then racing to the temple in the wet post-rainy weather.  Showing up late enough to have everyone in a panic, including my groom.  He was so calm and patient about it though!!  Then the sealing room 2C.  The shaking, the tears, the smiles, the excitement!  The mirrors.  The love.  Thinking about and planning for our future with each word.  Then pictures.  So many pictures :).  Finding "our" car and the airport.  Then our apartment.  The end of the luncheon, eating while everyone put away tables....
Such a special day.
So back to 2018, I tried to get the kitchen cleaned up to surprise Nate.  Then he surprised me with a beautiful little fruit bouquet and an Amazon Spot!  Pretty cool.
We had a baseball and softball games that night, it was fun to spend that time together.  I gave Nate his gift (the blue suit that I wanted him to get when we got his gray one :) He looks so good in it!
Then we got kids in bed and said our goodbyes.  The day was over.  Kind of a drag.  We'll have to go out next week... or something.  But just thinking about the fact that we've made it 17 years is kind of celebration enough!  Pretty cool stuff!
