The Littles

Jack has humbly come to the conclusion that he doesn’t really know EVERYTHING. Which is actually a little bit sad because I adored his confidence ツ. But I’m also proud of him and his ability to change his mind and let go of pride. Smart boy.

Molly (About the dragon fly hanging on the wall at the store):  what dat guy doin’? [over and over again, til we drove away.]
Me: Say goodbye to that guy! What’s he going to do now that we're leaving??
Molly: Die ツ

Whenever we're driving, Molly announces all the red lights turning “teen” ツ.  Then when I say, "What does red mean?" She says, "Not we go!" and when it turns green she says, "TEEN TEEN TEEN!!"  You really can't accelerate fast enough for her.

Molly does these tiny little kisses on people’s arms during the prayer ツ so cute!!

Jack’s new word is “seiously” (I spelled that right, it’s seriously minus the “r”) says it about five times per conversation.  I absolutely LOVE it!

Dee—> Gee (hard g sound) —> Tink (the evolution of the word “drink” for Molly)

Molly (sitting in the car, during total silence and out of nowhere): I WANT BACON!!!!

Upon getting home and finding Luke home from the day at Lagoon:
Noah: OH HI Luke!
Molly (like an echo): OH HI Luke!
Erika: OH HI Luke! (Copying Molly)
Molly (noticing Erika was sitting on the couch across the room): HOOIKA!! HIT BY ME!!  HOOIKA!! HIT! BY! ME!!
Erika slowly walks across the room with her blanket to follow Molly’s orders.
Molly: NO! BLANKET ON ME!!
Erika complies again.
I look over a few minutes later and they’re both cuddling under Erika’s blanket with the biggest seeetest smiles on their faces!! Hilarious!!

I got all teary-eyed when I looked over and saw Jack and Molly sitting in the same computer chair, kinda squished, but Molly laid her little head down on Jack’s shoulder for just a second and he responded with a quick tilt of his head!! It was only a quick little moment, but so precious!!!

Something none of my other two-year-olds knew how to do, Molly is way into cup stacking these days ツ. She’s stacking the paper cups and the official cup stacking cups too. It’s super cute. And she’s more than happy to knock it over when she’s done.

Jack has had a slight crush on cute Nayvie in his class this year.  She was the first (and only- seriously, every time I asked if he made a new friend each day he would get frustrated with me and say, "yes, mom, remember? Nayvie!!"  And he would talk about her throughout the whole school year over at Liam's house mostly, so I heard about it from Jami.  Sometimes he would open up to me about it though, and that was super cute.  So during the baseball season, he had the pleasure of running into her at the playground during Noah's games.  Well, Thursday night, after Kelly's banquet, I asked him if he had seen Nayvie at the park and he got really excited, told me how he had talked to her "a LOT" and she had talked to him "a lot" and they sat by each other!  And then he goes on to say, "It was kinda like a... a... (he was waiting for me to fillin the blank, I think, since it seemed obvious to him where he was going with this, just not as obvious to me :) ) like a date?... huh mom?"  SO CUTE!!!!!  I tried not to get too giddy about it and just took it seriously, but WHAT A SWEET LITTLE BOY!!!  I found out later he had been sitting behind, almost under, the bleachers with her for a while, so yeah, kind of like a date!  Love that boy.
